GENERAL USE PRECAUTIONS

DO NOT APPLY BY AIR

Tank Mixtures
In some cases, tank mixing a pest control product with another pest control product or a fertilizer can result in biological effects that could include, but are not limited to: reduced pest efficacy or increased host crop injury. The user should contact Dow AgroSciences Canada Inc at 1-800-667-3852 or www.dowagro.ca for information before mixing any pesticide or fertilizer that is not specifically recommended on this label. The user assumes the risk of losses that result from the use of tank mixes that do not appear on this label or that are not specifically recommended by Dow AgroSciences Canada Inc.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
READ ALL DIRECTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE APPLYING. FAILURE TO FOLLOW LABEL INSTRUCTIONS MAY RESULT IN ERRATIC FUNGICIDE CONTROL OR CROP DAMAGE.

Use Determination
Carefully read, understand and follow label use rate and restrictions. For proper application, determine the number of hectares to be treated, the suggested label use rate and the water volume to be applied per hectare. Prepare only the amount of spray solution required to treat the measured area. Careful calibration of spray equipment is recommended prior to use.

Mixing

Always place Indar Fungicide into solution prior to adding co-applied agricultural chemicals registered for use on specific crop or crops being treated. Add the required number of unopened pouches as determined by the dosage recommendations into the spray tank with agitation. Depending on the water temperature and the degree of agitation, the pouches should dissolve completely within approximately ten minutes from the time they are added to the water.
NOTE: Reduced product efficacy may occur if water containing suspended soil particles is used, such as water from ponds, streams or unlined ditches.

Handling

The enclosed pouches of Indar Fungicide are water-soluble. Do not allow pouches to become wet prior to adding to the spray tank. Do not handle the pouches with wet hands or wet gloves. Always reseal overwrap bag to protect remaining unused pouches. Do not remove water-soluble pouches from overwrap except to add directly to the spray tank.

Application Directions

Ground Thorough coverage sprays generally result in optimum disease control. To achieve good coverage use proper spray pressure, water volume per hectare, nozzles, nozzle spacing and tractor speed. Consult spray nozzle and accessory catalogues for specific information on proper equipment calibration.

Chemigation
Do not apply this product through any type of irrigation system.

Compatibility

Indar Fungicide is compatible with most commonly used agriculture fungicides, insecticides, growth regulators, micronutrients and spray adjuvants. When preparing tank mixes, user should consult spray compatibility charts prior to use.
NOTE: Indar Fungicide is compatible with boron and spray oils; however, the water-soluble pouches must be completely dissolved before adding spray oils or products containing boron to spray-mixtures.

STONE FRUITS

Indar Fungicide is a protectant fungicide. Best disease control is achieved when used in a regularly scheduled preventative spray program. Use 140 g of Indar Fungicide per hectare (1 pouch per acre or per 0.4 hectares) in a minimum of 500L of water or in sufficient water volume to ensure thorough coverage. Under high disease pressure and/or favourable weather conditions, apply at the shortest spray interval. Indar Fungicide may be applied up to the day of harvest. Rotate registered fungicides to delay the development of resistance. A wetting agent or other non-polymer containing spray adjuvant approved for use with registered pesticides products on fruit crops should be added to spray solutions according to manufacturers' use instructions to achieve optimum disease control.

CROP: Apricots
DISEASE:Blossom Blight
USE RECOMENDATIONS: Begin applications at early red bud stage before infection occurs. If conditions are favorable for disease development, apply again at full bloom and at petal-fall.
DISEASE: Fruit Brown Rot
USE RECOMENDATIONS: Begin applications 3 weeks before harvest using a 7 to 10 day spray interval

DISEASE: Blossom Blight, Fruit Brown Rot
USE RECOMENDATIONS: Refer to apricots.
CROP: Tart cherry
DISEASE: Black Knot
USE RECOMENDATIONS: Begin at petal fall and continue applications at 7 day spray intervals until mid to late June. Continual coverage of young growing shoot tissue is essential for disease control.
RESTRICTIONS: For all crops, do not use more than 7 applications per season. For all crops, do not graze livestock in treated areas or feed cover crops grown in treated areas to livestock. For all crops, do not apply within 1 day of harvest.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Highbush Blueberry

For the control of Mummy Berry on highbush blueberries, apply Indar at the rate of 140 grams per hectare (1 pouch per acre or per 0.4 hectares). Apply in sufficient water volume to ensure thorough coverage. Do not use any spray adjuvants.
Apply Indar at early green tip followed by a second application 10 to 14 days later. A third application may be made at early bloom with a fourth application 10-14 days later.
Do not use more than four applications per year. Do not apply within 30 days of harvest.
Refer to the main Indar label for additional details and instructions.

RESISTANCE MANAGEMENT
For resistance management, please note that Indar Fungicide contains a Group 3 fungicide. Any fungal populations may contain individuals naturally resistant to Indar Fungicide and other Group 3 fungicides. A gradual or total loss of pest control may occur over time if these fungicides are used repeatedly in the same orchards. Other resistance mechanisms that are not linked to site of action but are specific for individual chemicals, such as enhanced metabolism, may also exist. Appropriate resistance management strategies should be followed.
To delay fungicide resistance:
Where possible, rotate the use of Indar Fungicide or other Group 3 fungicides with different groups that control the same pathogens.
Avoid application of consecutive sprays of Indar Fungicide or other fungicides in the same group in a season.
Fungicide use should be based on an IPM program that includes scouting, historical information related to pesticide use and cover crop and considers cultural, biological and other chemical control practices.
Monitor treated fungal populations for resistance development.
If disease continues to progress after treatment with this product, do not increase the use rate. Discontinue use of this product, and switch to another fungicide with a different site of action, if available.
Contact your local extension specialist or certified crop advisors for any additional pesticide resistance management or IPM recommendations for specific crops and pathogens.
For further information and to report suspected resistance, contact Dow AgroSciences Canada Inc. at 1-800-667-3852 or at www.dowagro.ca.
