GENERAL INFORMATION

FOR USE ON STORED GRAINS: Wheat, oats, rice, rye, and barley.
IPCO Malathion Grain Protectant Dust is effective against damage from Confused Flour Beetle, Flat Grain Beetle, Granary Weevil, Indian Meal Moth, Lesser Grain Borer, Merchant Grain Beetle, Rusty Grain Beetle, Sawtoothed Grain Beetle.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE: Apply IPCO Malathion Grain Protectant to the grain at the appropriate rate as the grain is being loaded or turned into the final storage.

Limit the amount of active ingredient handled per day to 100 kg per person (approx. 6650 metric tons at a rate of 15 g a.i./ton).
The most convenient way to apply MALATHION GRAIN PROTECTANT DUST is to treat the grain when it is in the truck or wagon prior to binning. Determine the amount of grain in the truck or wagon in metric tonnes (1000 kg). Measure out the correct amount of MALATHION GRAIN PROTECTANT DUST as recommended in the table above. Spread the Dust evenly over the surface of the grain. Cut the Dust into the grain with a shovel. The dust will become mixed with the grain as it is dumped from the truck into the auger hopper. Further mixing will occur when the grain is augured into the bin. Mixing is completed as the MALATHION GRAIN PROTECTANT DUST and grain roll down the cone-shaped pile in the bin. To protect stored grains from attack apply MALATHION GRAIN PROTECTANT DUST to the surface of clean or infested grain at the rate of 4.5 kg/100 m2 of grain surface area and work into the grain with a rake to a depth of 15 cm.
DO NOT apply to grain within 7 days of sale.
