DIRECTIONS FOR USE
For indoor <> control of sugar feeding ants which invade structures.
Treated baits must be placed in locations NOT accessible to children, pets, livestock or wildlife.
How to Apply:
1) Twist the cap to the LEFT to open.
2) Squeeze gently to create multiple spots (about the size of a pea) of gel.
3) Place the bait near ant trails so the ant will (be attracted,) (find the bait,) stop and take the bait back to the nest.
4) When finished, twist the cap to the RIGHT to close. (For convenience,) you can store the tube standing up. Keep cap on the tube (to prevent the gel from drying out.)
General Bait Application Instructions (Indoor and Outdoor):
For indoor <> use <> around a structure, apply approximately 5 mm length of gel (~0.1 g) for each spot with a minimum of 1-3 spots per m2 where ants are observed actively foraging or entering the structure or next to ant trails found close to the structure. Apply in cracks, crevices, corners, holes and out of the way places. Common places to find and treat for ants include:
under and behind kitchen appliances
under sinks
along baseboards
near pipes and water heaters
around windows and door frames
food storage areas
in the attic, crawl space and garage
around soffits, eaves, weep holes, utility entry points or other openings in struct ures where ants commonly enter
areas of high moisture
Use more bait spots in locations where ants e at entire placements within 1 to 2 days and ant activity remains high to ensure a continual supply of bait.
Place bait where it won’t be distur bed or contaminated by cleaning or work activities. Do not apply to areas that are routinely washed as bait may be removed or diluted and spread onto the surface.
Do not treat food preparation surfaces.
If the area to be treated has been recently treated with insecticide, thor oughly clean the area before applying this bait.
Do not spray insecticide over gel as this may cause the bait to become repellent.
Avoid applying gel where the surface temperature is exceedingly hot because the gel could liquefy.
Useful Ant Control Tips:
Ant control will be improved by using a co mbination of methods against the ants invading the structure in cluding removing sources of food both indoors and around the structure and by sealing locations where ants may enter the structure.
Place the gel near ant trails without disrupting the ants to ensure the ants take the bait back to the nest.
Ant activity is often high in kitchens and bathrooms.
Inspect regularly after placing ge l. If gel has b een consumed and ants are still pre sent, re-apply.
Bait remaining for more than two weeks may need to be replaced for freshness. Exposure to direct sunlight, extreme heat or c old and water may reduce length of bait effectiveness.
