DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

RATE OF APPLICATION:

Apply PIN NIP 98% CIPC at the rates shown/100 tonne potatoes.
SHORT TERM STORAGE: (up to 3 months). Apply 1.5 to 2 kg of active chemical.
LONG TERM STORAGE: (4 to 6 months). Apply 3.0 to 3.75 kg of active chemical per application. Depending on factors occurring in the storage, it may be found necessary to repeata treatment to achieve the desired results. The operation of every storage is different and introduces different operating conditions, which in turn determine the effect of the treatment.
Apply this product by fogging type applicators which heat the product in a hot gas stream to the vapor state and then allow the issuing vapor to cool to a mist of fine particles. This equipment should be used as directed by the manufacturer. Remove CIPC (Chlorpropham) block from the plastic wrapper, measure the appropriate amount of the product, and place it directly into the applicator. Heat and melt the product prior to application. Alternatively the product can be melted, using a hot plate, and then poured into a fogging applicator for application.
Apply this product to the potatoes stored in storage rooms equipped with air circulating fans.
PIN NIP 98% CIPC should be used for post harvest sprout inhibition on cured potatoes only.
CIPC will prevent suberization (wound healing or periderm formulation) on injured potatoes.
Therefore, application should only be made after a period of two weeks or longer have passed to permit sufficient time for wounds to heal.
Do not use on seed potatoes. Do not bring into storage that has been treated until the storage room has been cleaned and disinfected and dried. CIPC will prevent or delay sprouting of planned seed potatoes.
