WATER-DISPERSIBLE GRANULAR FUNGICIDE

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
POLYRAM DF Water-Dispersible Granular Fungicide may be used in low volume or concentrate sprays by increasing the dosage to apply the same quantity of POLYRAM DF Water-Dispersible Granular Fungicide per hectare as would normally be applied when spraying dilute mixtures. Apply in sufficient water for thorough coverage of all plant parts; this volume depends on spray equipment and size of plants or trees.
CONSULT YOUR PROVINCIAL PRODUCTION GUIDE FOR RECOMMENDATIONS ON WATER VOLUME AND ADJUSTMENTS OF RATES ACCORDING TO TREE HEIGHTS.

Disease – Early Blight; Late Blight
Rate / Method – Apply at 7-10 day intervals using 1.10 to 1.75 kg per hectare until plants cover the row. Then increase the rate to 2.25 kg per hectare until tops are killed or use 1.10 to 1.75 kg per hectare at 5-7 day intervals starting when plants are 15 cm high and continuing until top killing. When conditions (rain or dew) favour infections, use the shorter intervals in each case. For aircraft application, use 55 litres of water per hectare. May be applied up to the day before harvest.

Crop – Tomato
Disease – Early Blight; Late Blight; Gray Leaf spot
Rate / Method – Apply 2.25 kg per hectare when the first fruit has formed and repeat at intervals of 7-10 days. Apply every 7 days during weather favourable to disease or in case of severe disease outbreak. Do not apply later than 7 days before harvest.

Crop – Tomato
Disease – Anthracnose Septoria; Gray Leaf spot
Rate / Method – Apply 3.25 kg per hectare when first fruit has formed and repeat at intervals of 7 days. Do not apply later than 7 days before harvest.

Crop – Asparagus
Disease – Rust
Rate / Method – Apply 2.25 to 3.25 kg per hectare after harvest when disease is first noticed. Make 4 applications at 7-10 day intervals. Do not apply to spears to be cut.

Crop – Carrot
DiseaseAlternaria Blight; Cercospora Blight
Rate / Method – Apply 2.25 kg per hectare when plants are 6 weeks old or when disease threatens; repeat treatment every 7-10 days. Do not use treated tops for feed or food. Do not apply later than 7 days before harvest.

Crop – Celery
Disease – Early Blight; Late Blight
Rate / Method – Apply 2.25 kg per hectare after transplanting and repeat at weekly intervals as needed. Increase the rate to 3.25 kg during periods of rain or heavy dew. Trim, strip and wash celery at harvest. Do not apply later than 14 days before harvest.

Crop – Sugar beets
DiseaseCercospora Leaf spot
Rate / Method – Use 2.25 kg per hectare when disease is noticed. Repeat at regular intervals of 7-10 days depending on weather conditions. Do not apply later than 21 days before harvest. Do not use treated beet tops for feed or food purposes.

Crop – Grape
Disease – Downy Mildew; Black Rot
Rate / Method – Apply 2 kg per 1000 litres of water. Apply in Pre-Bloom, Post-Bloom and First Cover Sprays. Do not make more than three applications per season. Do not apply later than 45 days before harvest.

NOTE: Do not apply by air, except for potato.

AERIAL APPLICATION (For Potatoes Only)
Apply only by fixed-wing or rotary aircraft equipment which has been functionally and operationally calibrated for the atmospheric conditions of the area and the application rates and conditions of this label.
Label rates, conditions and precautions are product specific. Read and understand the entire label before opening this product. Apply only at the rate recommended for aerial application on this label. Where no rate for aerial application appears for the specific use, this product cannot be applied by any type of aerial equipment.
Ensure uniform application. To avoid streaked, uneven or overlapped application, use appropriate marking devices.

Use Precautions
Apply only when meteorological conditions at the treatment site allow for complete and even crop coverage. Apply only under conditions of good practice specific to aerial application as outlined in the National Aerial Pesticide Manual, developed by the Federal/Provincial/Territorial Committee on Pest Management and Pesticides.
Do not apply to any body of water. Avoid drifting of spray onto any body of water or other non-target areas. Specific buffer zones should be observed.
Coarse sprays are less likely to drift, therefore, avoid combinations of pressure and nozzle type that will result in finer particles (mist). Do not apply during periods of dead calm or when wind velocity and direction pose a risk of spray drift. Do not spray when the wind is blowing towards a nearby sensitive crop, garden, terrestrial habitat (such as shelter-belt) or aquatic habitat.

Operator Precautions
Do not allow the pilot to mix chemicals to be loaded onto the aircraft. Loading of premixed chemicals with a closed system is permitted.
It is desirable that the pilot have communication capabilities at each treatment site at the time of application.
The field crew and the mixer/loaders must wear chemical resistant gloves, coveralls and goggles or face shield during mixing/loading, cleanup and repair. Follow the more stringent label precautions in cases where the operator precautions exceed the generic label recommendations on the existing ground boom label.
All personnel on the job site must wash hands and face thoroughly before eating and drinking. Protective clothing, aircraft cockpit and vehicle cabs must be decontaminated regularly.

Product Specific Precautions
Read and understand the entire label before opening this product. If you have questions, call the manufacturer at 1-877-371-BASF (2273) or obtain technical advice from the distributor or your provincial agricultural representative.

COMPATIBILITY
POLYRAM DF Water-Dispersible Granular Fungicide is compatible with most commonly used insecticides, adjuvants and fungicides, including Superior Oil. Mixtures of POLYRAM DF Water-Dispersible Granular Fungicide with Diazinon or Malathion should be prepared immediately prior to use and not allowed to stand in the spray tank. POLYRAM DF Water-Dispersible Granular Fungicide can be mixed with liquid fertilizers after a physical compatibility test has been conducted. Apply solution immediately after mixing. Opened bags should be sealed if stored until following season.

RESISTANCE-MANAGEMENT RECOMMENDATIONS
For resistance management, please note that POLYRAM DF Water-Dispersible Granular Fungicide contains a Group M2fungicide. Any fungal population may contain individuals naturally resistant to POLYRAM DF Water-Dispersible Granular Fungicide and other Group M2fungicides. A gradual or total loss of pest control may occur over time if these fungicides are used repeatedly in the same fields. Other resistance mechanisms that are not linked to site of action but specific for individual chemicals, such as enhanced metabolism, may also exist. Appropriate resistance-management strategies should be followed.
To delay fungicide resistance:
Where possible, rotate the use of POLYRAM DF Water-Dispersible Granular Fungicide or other Group M2fungicides with different groups that control the same pathogens.
Use tank mixtures with fungicides from a different group when such use is permitted.
Fungicide use should be based on an IPM program that includes scouting, historical information related to pesticide use and crop rotation and considers cultural, biological and other chemical control practices.
Monitor treated fungal populations for resistance development.
If disease continues to progress after treatment with this product, do not increase the use rate. Discontinue use of this product, and switch to another fungicide with a different target site of action, if available.
Contact your local extension specialist or certified crop advisors for any additional pesticide resistance-management and/or IPM recommendations for specific crops and pathogens.
For further information and to report suspected resistance, contact BASF at 1-877-371-2273.
