DIRECTIONS FOR USE
CROP: SOYBEANS
GENERAL
PURSUIT 70 DG is a selective her bicide that can be app lied as an early pre-plant, pre-plant incorporated, pre-emergence or ear ly post-emergence treatment in soybeans. The application method depends upon the anticipa ted weed spectrum and the prefer ence of the applicator. With early pre-plant and pre-emergence treatments, susceptible weeds emerge, are present a s stunted pla nts and die. When PURSUIT 70 DG herbicide is applied early post-emergence, absorption may occur through both the roots and foliag e of susce ptible weed s which sto p growing and eventually die.
To reduce r unoff from treated area s into aquat ic habit ats, avoid application to are as with a moderate to steep slope, compacted soil or clay.
Avoid application when heavy rain is forecast.
Contamination of aquatic areas as a result of runoff ma y be reduced by including a vegetative strip between the treated area and the edge of the water body.
Apply only when the potential for drift to area s of human habitation or areas of h uman activity (houses, co ttages, scho ols and recr eational are as) is minimal. Take into conside ration wind speed, wind direction, temperature inversion, application equipment and sprayer settings.
Field Sprayer Application
DO NOT apply during p eriods of dead calm. A void application of th is product when winds are gusty. DO NOT apply with spray droplets smaller than th e American Society of Agricultural Engineers (ASAE) medium classification. Boom height must be 60 cm or less above the crop or ground.
DO NOT apply by air.
ROTATIONAL CROPS
Only soybeans, white beans, kidn ey beans, field corn, pr ocessing peas, spring b arley, spring wheat and winter wheat may be planted the season follo wing a PURSUIT 70 DG herbicide application. Winter wheat may be grown the same season as a PURSUIT 70 DG herbicide application t o soybeans but not earlier than 1 20 days after the application. Conduct a field bioassay (a test strip grown to maturity) the year BEFORE growing any other crop.
RATE
Apply 75 - 100 g active (a.e.) in 100 to 400 litres of water per hectare.
For early pre-plant applications, use 100 g active (a.e.) rate only.
For pre-plant incorporated application, use the 75 g active (a.e.) rate only.
One package will treat 2 ha at the 75 g active (a.e.) rate. One package will treat 2 ha at the 75 g active (a.e.) rate.
One package will treat 1.5 ha at the 100 g active (a.e.) rate.
