Sweet summer grass

Decumbent to prostrate stoloniferous annual to 60 cm high.
Leaves with ligule a row of hairs 0.75 mm long; blade to 4.5 cm long, to 5.5 mm wide, pubescent with tubercle-based hairs or glabrous.
Panicles at length long exserted, erect, 2–7.5 cm long with 2–12 lateral branches; main axis flattened or triquetrous, glabrous or scabrous on the angles.
