Alsystin is a non-systemic Insect Growth Regulator (IGR) for integrated pest control, especially in fruit, citrus, and vegetables. Alsystin is mainly active against phytophagous chewing insects such as caterpillars, orthopterans (locusts, grasshoppers and crickets) .It has a completely different mode of action compared to other insecticides. It acts on the larval stages being able to moult.
Formulation:
Alsystin 480 SC is a suspension concentrate containing 480 g a.i. /l Triflumuron.
Mode of action:
Triflumuron inhibits the chitin synthesis in insect-larvae and has no knock-down effect against adult insects. It easily adsorbs to waxy layers of the cuticles and possesses therefore a very good rain-stability.
