Product Description

Cairo is a broad-spectrum insecticide that effectively controls a wide range of sucking and chewing insects, including bollworms, stem borers, leaf folders, shoot and fruit borers, thrips, and flea beetles, in various crops, including cotton, vegetables, and ornamentals. It contains 4.9% lambda cyhalothrin as its active ingredient and is a suspension concentrate (SC) formulation. It is easy to mix with water and can be applied to various crops as a foliar spray.

Mode of Action

Lambda cyhalothrin is a synthetic pyrethroid insecticide that disrupts the sodium channel in insects. This disruption interferes with the transmission of nerve impulses, leading to paralysis and death of the affected insect. Lambda cyhalothrin also has contact and stomach action, meaning it is effective when insects come into contact with the treated surface or ingest it.

Cairo can be applied as a foliar spray to actively growing plants. The amount of insecticide that you need to use will depend on the type of pests you are targeting, the severity of the pest infestation, and the crop you are treating.

To apply Cairo, follow these instructions:
