General Information:

Green Mix is a selective pre-emergence herbicide that effectively controls a wide range of broadleaf weeds in various crops, including soybean, cotton, groundnut, onion, garlic, black gram, green gram, mentha (peppermint), vegetables, jute, oilseeds, turmeric, coriander, and tea. It is a water-dispersible granule formulation that contains a combination of two active ingredients: Metsulfuron Methyl 10% and Chlorimuron Ethyl 10%.

Mode of Action:

Green Mix's active ingredients, Metsulfuron Methyl and Chlorimuron Ethyl, belong to the sulfonylurea group of herbicides. They act by inhibiting acetolactate synthase (ALS), an enzyme essential for amino acid synthesis in plants. This disruption of amino acid production leads to the cessation of cell division and ultimately causes the death of susceptible weeds.

Application:

Green Mix is applied as a pre-emergence herbicide, meaning it is applied to the soil surface before the weeds emerge. It is important to apply the herbicide to a well-prepared seedbed with good soil moisture to ensure uniform coverage and efficacy. The recommended application rate is 8 grams per acre.

Precautions:

• Green Mix is a moderately toxic herbicide and should be handled with care. Wear protective clothing, gloves, and goggles when handling the product.
• Avoid contact with skin and eyes. If contact occurs, flush with water for 15 minutes and seek medical attention.
• Do not apply Green Mix to crops that are under stress from drought, flooding, or other factors.
• Do not apply Green Mix to water bodies or areas where there is a risk of runoff to water bodies.
• Green Mix is harmful to fish and aquatic organisms.
