Mode of Action:

Metribuzin is a triazine herbicide that inhibits photosynthesis in plants. It does this by blocking the plastoquinone binding site on photosystem II, which prevents the electron transport chain from functioning. This leads to a buildup of reactive oxygen species in the plant, which causes cell death.

Application:

Metrex can be applied as a pre-emergence or post-emergence herbicide. The recommended dose and application method will vary depending on the crop and the weeds to be controlled. For example, to control broadleaf weeds in soybeans, Metrex can be applied as a pre-emergence herbicide at a dose of 0.5-1.0 kg/ha.

Precautions:

• Metrex is not rain fast. Therefore, it should not be applied if rain is expected within 4 hours of application.
