Product Description

Nagarjuna 4G is a systemic insecticide with contact and stomach action that effectively controls a wide range of caterpillars, including bollworms, leafminers, and cutworms, in various crops, including cotton, soybean, vegetables, and ornamentals. It contains 4% cartap hydrochloride as its active ingredient and is a granular formulation. It is easy to apply to the soil around plants and provides long-lasting residual control of pests.

Mode of Action

Cartap hydrochloride is a nereistoxin analogue that disrupts the nervous system of insects. When ingested, it blocks the transmission of nerve impulses, leading to paralysis and death. Cartap hydrochloride also has contact action, killing pests that come into contact with the treated granules.

Application Instructions

Nagarjuna 4G should be applied to the soil around plants as a broadcast application. The amount of insecticide that you need to use will depend on the type of pests you are targeting, the severity of the pest infestation, and the crop you are treating. It is recommended to apply Nagarjuna 4G 20-30 days after crop emergence or when pest pressure is first noticed.
