General Information:

Clutch is a broad-spectrum fungicide that effectively controls a wide range of fungal diseases in various crops. It belongs to the strobilurin and carboxamide classes of fungicides and provides both protective and curative action against target diseases. Clutch is known for its long-lasting protection and ability to manage diseases that have developed resistance to other fungicides.

Active Ingredients:

Clutch contains two active ingredients:

  1. Pyraclostrobin: A strobilurin fungicide that inhibits mitochondrial respiration in fungal cells, disrupting their energy production and leading to cell death.

  2. Metiram: A carboxamide fungicide that interferes with amino acid synthesis in fungal cells, preventing the formation of essential proteins required for growth and reproduction.

Mode of Action:

Clutch acts through a dual mode of action, combining the preventive and curative properties of its two active ingredients. Pyraclostrobin provides protective action by inhibiting fungal spore germination and early hyphal growth, while metiram offers curative action by disrupting fungal cell metabolism and preventing further disease development.

Application:

Clutch is available in a water-dispersible granule (WG) formulation. It can be applied to a wide range of crops, including vegetables, fruits, and field crops. Always follow the label directions for the specific formulation you are using.

Method of Application:

The primary method of application for Clutch is foliar spraying. The fungicide is mixed with water and sprayed evenly onto the foliage of the plants, ensuring thorough coverage. Clutch can also be applied as a soil drench or seed treatment.

Precautions:

While Clutch is considered relatively safe when used according to label directions, it is essential to take precautions during handling and application.

  • Wear protective clothing, including gloves, goggles, and a mask, when handling or applying Clutch.

  • Avoid contact with skin, eyes, and clothing.

  • Do not eat, drink, or smoke while handling or applying Clutch.

  • Wash hands thoroughly after handling or applying Clutch.

  • Store Clutch in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area, away from food, feed, and children's reach.

  • Dispose of empty containers safely and responsibly.

  • Clutch is moderately toxic to fish and aquatic organisms. Avoid contamination of water bodies.
