Dicaught Plus (NACL Industries Limited) Pyrithiobac Sodium 6% EC w/w + Quizalofop-ethyl 4% EC w/w MEC is a post-emergence herbicide for broad-leaved and grassy weed control in cotton crops. It is a combination of two herbicides, pyrithiobac sodium and quizalofop-ethyl, which work together to provide broad-spectrum weed control.
Pyrithiobac sodium is a systemic herbicide that is absorbed by the leaves and roots of weeds and translocated to the growing points. It inhibits the enzyme acetolactate synthase (ALS), which is involved in the synthesis of amino acids. This disrupts the weed's growth and eventually kills it.
Dicaught Plus is safe to use on cotton plants at all stages of growth. It is also rainfast once dry, so it can be used even if rain is expected soon after application.
Recommended dosage:
The recommended dosage of Dicaught Plus is 400-500 ml per acre. It should be applied with a knapsack sprayer or a tractor-mounted sprayer.
Mode of action:
Dicaught Plus is a combination of two herbicides, pyrithiobac sodium and quizalofop-ethyl, which have different modes of action. Quizalofop-ethyl is a selective herbicide that is absorbed by the leaves of grasses and broad-leaved weeds. It inhibits the enzyme acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACCase), which is involved in the synthesis of fatty acids. This disrupts the weed's growth and eventually kills it.
Benefits of using Dicaught Plus:
- Highly effective against a wide range of broad-leaved and grassy weeds
- Safe to use on cotton plants at all stages of growth
- Rainfast once dry
- Combination of two herbicides with different modes of action provides broad-spectrum weed control and reduces the risk of herbicide resistance
Precautions:
- Do not apply Dicaught Plus to cotton plants that are under stress due to drought, waterlogging, or other factors.
- Do not apply Dicaught Plus if heavy rain is expected within 24 hours of application.
- Wear protective clothing, such as a long-sleeved shirt, long pants, and gloves, when applying Dicaught Plus.
- Avoid contact with skin and eyes. If contact does occur, rinse immediately with water.
Storage:
