General Information:
Glowed is a broad-spectrum fungicide that contains two active ingredients: tebuconazole and captan. It is effective against a wide range of fungal diseases in a variety of crops, including cereals, fruits, vegetables, and ornamentals.
Mode of Action:
Tebuconazole is a triazole fungicide that inhibits the production of ergosterol, which is a component of fungal cell membranes. By inhibiting ergosterol production, tebuconazole disrupts the integrity of fungal cell membranes and leads to cell death.
Captan is a multi-site fungicide that disrupts a variety of cellular processes in fungal cells, making it difficult for the fungi to survive. Captan also has a protective effect, preventing fungal spores from germinating and infecting plants.
Application:
Glowed can be applied as a foliar spray. The recommended dose and application method will vary depending on the crop to be protected and the disease to be controlled. For example, to control blast and sheath blight in rice, Glowed can be applied as a foliar spray at a dose of 400 ml per hectare.
Precautions:
- Glowed is a selective fungicide, but it can harm some crops if applied incorrectly. It is important to read and follow the label directions carefully.
- Glowed is not rain fast. Therefore, it should not be applied if rain is expected within 4 hours of application.
- Glowed is toxic to fish and other aquatic organisms. Therefore, it should not be applied near water bodies.
