A water dispersible granule formulation containing 40% w/w carfentrazone-ethyl and 10% w/w metsulfuron-methyl, a sulfonylurea, for the control of broad-leaved weeds in winter wheat, winter barley, winter oats, spring wheat, spring barley, spring oats, durum wheat and triticale.

Weed Control
ALLY EXPRESS contains two active ingredients with different modes of action. ALLY EXPRESS inhibits weed growth within hours of treatment, thus preventing competition within the crop. Many weeds show marked colour changes as they die back after treatment, but the time taken for these symptoms to appear and final death of the weed will vary according to species and weather conditions. ALLY EXPRESS has a short
residual life in soil and, under normal moisture conditions, susceptible weeds germinating soon after treatment will be controlled.

Weed Resistance

When herbicides with the same mode of action are used repeatedly over several years in the same field, selection of resistant biotypes can take place. These can propagate and may become dominating. A weed species is considered resistant to a herbicide if it
survives a correctly-applied treatment at the recommended dose. Development of resistance within a weed species can be avoided or delayed by alternating (or tank-mixing) with suitable products having a different mode of action. A strategy for preventing and managing resistance should be adopted. (UK only)The Weed Resistance Action Groups have produced guidelines and copies are available from the TEAGASC,HGCA, CPA, your distributor, crop adviser or product manufacturer’.

Soil
ALLY EXPRESS can be used on all soil types.

Volume and application
BEFORE USING ALLY EXPRESS, SPRAYING EQUIPMENT MUST BE CLEAN AND FREE FROM CONTAMINATION WITH OTHER PESTICIDES. Application should be made in 200-400 litres of water per hectare using suitable ground equipment to give good spray cover of the weeds. The spray quality should be MEDIUM (as defined by BCPC), applied at a pressure of 2 - 3 bar. When crops are thick or weed growth dense, use the higher volume.
When applying ALLY EXPRESS care should be taken not to overlap spray swaths.

Mixing
Half-fill the spray tank with clean water. Commence agitation. Steadily add the recommended quantity of ALLY EXPRESS to the spray tank (pre-mixing is not necessary).
Complete filling and maintain agitation of the suspension before and during spraying until the tank is empty.

Crops
ALLY EXPRESS can be used on all varieties of winter wheat, winter barley, winter oats,
spring wheat, spring barley, spring oats, durum wheat and triticale between the growth
stages given below. Under certain climatic, soil and crop conditions, some slight necrotic spotting of the crop may occur. Crops will quickly recover and there will be no effect on grain yield or quality.

Timings
ALLY EXPRESS can be applied in the spring from the 3-leaf stage (GS13) up to before
third node detectable stage (GS33).

Dose
Apply ALLY EXPRESS at 50g/ha.

Following Crops
Only cereals, oilseed rape, field beans or grass may be sown in the same calendar year to succeed a cereal crop treated with ALLY EXPRESS.

Crop Failure
In the event of crop failure, for any reason, only winter wheat may be sown between one and three months after application of ALLY EXPRESS. Prior to resowing soil should be ploughed and cultivated to a depth of at least 15cm. After three months follow recommendations in the ‘Following crops’ section.

Warning
EXTREME CARE SHOULD BE TAKEN TO AVOID DAMAGE BY DRIFT TO BROAD-LEAVED PLANTS OUTSIDE THE TARGET AREA OR ONTO PONDS, WATERWAYS OR DITCHES OR LAND INTENDED FOR CROPPING. SPRAYING EQUIPMENT SHOULD NOT BE DRAINED OR FLUSHED ONTO LAND PLAN TED WITH OR INTENDED FOR PLANTING WITH TREES OR CROPS OTHER THAN CEREALS.
