For use only as a herbicide for non-selective weed control in non-crop areas.
An aqueous solution containing 200 g/L (18.02% w/w) glufosinate-ammonium.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
BASTA MUST ONLY BE APPLIED USING LOW DRIFT NOZZLES AND SPRAY SHIELDS
Basta is a non-selective herbicide which controls a wide range of grass and broad-leaved weeds in non-crop areas such as on paths, roadways etc.
Mode of action
Basta acts mainly through contact, with some systemic action. The chemical is absorbed by the green leaf and stem of the plant. Symptoms of yellowing and wilting appear in 3-7 days after application. There is no root uptake and seeds which have not germinated will not be controlled.

RATE OF USE

NON CROP-AREAS
Weeds:
 Broad-leaved weeds and grasses
Rate:3.75 litres/ha
Critical comments: Maximum number of applications: repeat if required when further weed flush emerges or regrowth occurs. Application may only be made by spot or band application. Latest time of application: apply when weeds are actively growing.

WEEDS CONTROLLED
Basta will control all weeds which have emerged at time of application. The maximum rate is 3.75 L/ha Where there is a high population or where weeds are strong and woody a repeat application may be made. The roots or rhizomes of perennial weeds will not be killed at low dosage rates and regrowth can be expected.
