DIRECTIONS FOR USE - READ CAREFULLY BEFORE OPENING THE BOTTLE

IMPORTANT: This information is approved as part of the product label. All instructions within this section must be read carefully in order to obtain safe use and successful use of this product.
Clayton Midas is a protectant fungicide with useful curative activity against Powdery mildew on a range of cereal crops.

Crop safety and timing :
Clayton Midas can be used on all varieties of wheat, barley, oats, rye (winter), durum wheat, triticale from the beginning of stem elongation and before the start of flowering (GS60).

Mixing :
Half fill the spray tank with clean water. Commence agitation. Add the recommended quantity of Clayton
Midas to the spray tank. Complete filling and maintain agitation of the solution before and during spraying until the tank is empty.
Rate, water volume and application : Rate: 0.5L Clayton Midas per hectare per application.

Maximum number of applications :
A maximum of two applications of Clayton Midas may be applied to any one crop.
Water Volume: A water volume of 200-400 litres per hectare is recommended. It is important to ensure that good overall coverage of the plant is achieved. Where the crop is dense, the higher water volume should be used. Where the crop is very open, the lower water volume may be used.
Spray quality: FINE or MEDIUM (as defined by the BCPC) using a conventional hydraulic sprayer.

Time of application :
For best results Clayton Midas should be applied at the first visible signs of infection by Powdery mildew. For disease control other than Powdery mildew, Clayton Midas should be tank mixed with a broad-spectrum fungicide (see Compatibility section for approved tank mix partners). Where disease pressure remains high or re-infection occurs, a further application of Clayton Midas can be made to the crop.
Clayton Midas should be applied in the spring only.
Latest time of application : Before the start of flowering (GS60).

Compatibility
Clayton Midas can be tank mixed with a number of fungicide products to broaden the disease spectrum. The other product labels should be checked thoroughly prior to use to ensure that the crops, timing and any other restrictions on them are appropriate for use with Clayton Midas. Tank mixes should not be allowed to stand in the tank and agitation must be maintained at all times.
Refer to your distributor or advisor for further information regarding compatibility and crop safety.
The crop safety of tank mixes has only been established on winter wheat and winter barley. On winter wheat, some transient chlorosis/necrosis has been recorded which has not affected final yield.
