A suspension concentrate containing 100g/l picoxystrobin and 500g/l chlorothalonil for use as a broad spectrum fungicide for disease control in winter and spring wheat
and winter and spring barley.

Disease Control
CREDO is a broad spectrum fungicide for the control of a wide range of diseases of winter and spring wheat and winter and spring barley. CREDO contains both a strobilurin and phthalonitrile fungicide. It has systemic, translaminar and preventative properties and is vapour active.
Picoxystrobin and other strobilurin analogues inhibit fungal respiration. Their mode of action is different from the action of other fungicidal groups and there is no known cross-resistance to this mode of action in pathogens which have developed reduced sensitivity to other fungicides.
CREDO shows good crop safety, disease control and maintenance of green leaf area which results in significant yield benefits.
CREDO is best used as a protectant treatment or in the earliest stages of disease development. The length of disease control is generally about four to six weeks during the period of active stem elongation, but can be more when applied at flag leaf/ear emergence.

DISEASES CONTROLLED
Wheat
Moderate control of Leaf spot (Septoria tritici),
Moderate control of Yellow rust (Puccinia striiformis)
Control of Brown rust (Puccinia recondita),
Control of Tan spot (Pyrenophora tritici-repentis)
Barley
Control of Net blotch (Pyrenophora teres) and leaf blotch (Rhynchosporium secalis).
Moderate control of Leaf spot (Septoria tritici),
Moderate control of Powdery mildew (Erysiphe graminis hordei).

Crops
CREDO can be used on all winter and spring crops of wheat and barley. Apply CREDO under good growing conditions with adequate soil moisture. Avoid poor growing conditions, which may give less reliable results.

Timing
Always inspect crops to assess disease development immediately before spraying.
Best results will be achieved from applications made as a protectant treatment or in the earliest stages of disease development following a disease risk assessment or the use of appropriate decision support systems.

Volume and Application

Apply in 200 litres of water per hectare using a medium quality spray (BCPC) at a pressure of at least 2 bar. Apply through conventional crop spraying equipment. In dense crops, increase the water volume to 250-300 litres per hectare to improve coverage.

Dose
Apply CREDO at 2.0 litres per hectare.
Use CREDO as part of a disease management programme. Control of many diseases may be improved by using CREDO with an appropriate triazole mixture partner. This is also good practice for resistance management.

Resistance
CREDO is a co-formulated mixture of the strobilurin picoxystrobin and chlorothalonil.
The two active ingredients possess different modes of action and thus form part of a resistance management strategy.
CREDO contains a member of the Qol cross resistance group. CREDO should be used preventatively and should not be relied on for its curative potential. Control of many diseases may be improved by using CREDO with an appropriate triazole mixture partner. This is also good practice for resistance management.
Use CREDO as part of an Integrated Crop Management (ICM) strategy incorporating other methods of control, including where appropriate other fungicides with a different mode of action. You must not apply more than two foliar applications of Qol containing products to any cereal crop.
There is significant risk of widespread resistance occurring in Septoria tritici. Also Strains of barley powdery mildew with resistance to Qol fungicides are common.
Failure to follow resistance management action may result in reduced levels of disease control.

Mixing

Make sure the sprayer is set up to give good even application at the correct volume.
Fill the spray tank with half the required volume of clean water and start agitation.
Add the required amount of CREDO to the spray tank. Agitate the mixture thoroughly before use and continue agitation during spraying. Thoroughly wash all spray equipment with water immediately after use.
Wash out containers thoroughly, preferably using an integrated pressure rinsing device, or manually rinse three times. Add washings to the sprayer at the time of filling. Complete filling to the required volume and continue to agitate throughout the spray operation.
Do not leave the spray liquid in the sprayer for long periods (such as during meal breaks or overnight).
