A soluble concentrate containing 200g/litre (16.7% w/w) Diquat as the dibromide salt.

Diquash is a herbicide for weed control and desiccation in a range of crops.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
DIQUASH is a foliar applied herbicide and crop desiccant, for use in a wide range of crops.
Introduction
Important: This information is approved as part of the Product Label. All instructions within this section must be read carefully in order to obtain safe and successful use of this product.
DIQUASH may be applied pre-harvest to crops of potatoes, oilseed rape, combining peas (to be harvested dry), field beans (for pigeon and stock feed only), linseed, barley and oats (for animal feed only) to speed up harvesting by removal of green weeds and desiccation of the crop.
Diquash does not accelerate ripening; crops should already be mature at time of application. If it is used on crops which are not fully ripe, seeds with low specific weight and poor germination (in the case of seed crops) will be produced. DIQUASH acts rapidly on the green parts of plants (it is rainfast within 15 minutes of spraying) and desiccates crops and weeds within a few days. DIQUASH is inactivated on contact with the soil and so will not affect subsequent crops. Its use does not require specialist application equipment.
Method of application
Apply by means of a conventional hydraulic nozzle tractor-mounted or trailed sprayer. Ensure that the sprayer is correctly calibrated to apply the recommended water volume and spray quality, and that the boom height and nozzles are adjusted to give even coverage of the crop.
Water Volume
Apply in 200-500 litres of water per hectare, as listed under each crop. The activity of DIQUASH is dependent on complete cover of the crop and weeds. Use the higher recommended water rates if the crop or weeds are dense and ensure the sprayer boom is set high enough. When tank mixing DIQUASH with other approved pesticides, follow the mixing instructions of the partner products in addition to those for DIQUASH.
Spray Quality
Apply as a MEDIUM spray using a pressure of 2-3 bar. Where higher spray volumes are required, use twin outlet nozzles or twin spray booms. Do not apply through mist blowers. Avoid spray drift. Do not spray in windy conditions.

CROP SPECIFIC INFORMATION
Crops
DIQUASH can be used as a desiccant on potatoes (seed and ware), combining pea, field bean, linseed, oilseed rape, barley and oats (for animal feed only).
DIQUASH can be used as a herbicide on all outdoor edible and non-edible crops, and inter-row crops.
Rate of application and timing
DIQUASH should be applied at the rates and timings specified below

MIXING INSTRUCTIONS
Invert and shake the container well before opening. Use only clean water. Put nine tenths of the required volume of water into the spray tank and commence agitation. Pour in the required amount of DIQUASH followed by the remainder of the water. Continue agitation whilst filling and during spraying. Do not leave sprayer standing with mixture in it. Always ensure that the sprayer is in good working order and calibrated accurately to the manufacturer’s recommendations.

Tank Mixes
DIQUASH can be tank mixed with a range of other products. If using tank mixes, unless directed otherwise the preferred order of addition of products to the tank is: water dispersible granules, wettable powders, suspension concentrates (flowables), emulsifiable concentrates, solution concentrates. Each product must be added to a half-full sprayer and be fully dispersed before the addition of the next product.
Tank mixes must only be applied within the label recommendations of every product in the mix.
DIQUASH is compatible with the following products: Shirlan.
