A granular formulation containing 30g/kg (3% w/w) methiocarb.
For use only as an agricultural/horticultural molluscicide for the control of slugs, snails and strawberry seed beetle, with a reduction in leatherjacket populations, in agricultural and horticultural crops.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
IMPORTANT:
This information is approved as part of the Product Label. All instructions within this section must be read carefully in order to obtain safe and successful use of this product.

RESTRICTIONS
Late application of pellets to broad-leaved plants may result in lodging of the pellets in foliage. Care should be taken to avoid this when making applications to edible crops.
DO NOT allow pellets to lodge in edible crops. When surface broadcasting avoid application within 6m of the field boundary to reduce effects on non-target insects or other arthropods.
No single method of slug control is likely to be completely successful and a combination of both cultural and chemical control is advisable.

CROP SPECIFIC INFORMATION
Edible Crops
Draza Elite pellets may be used in edible crops as shown in the following table.
Only those edible crops listed may be treated.
Recommended Dose: as shown under “Maximum individual dose” in the table below.
Use at rates below the maximum individual dose may be effective in situations of low slug pressure/risk, especially if used as part of a programmed approach for slug control.

Non edible Crops and Ryegrass Seed (admixture)
Problem: Other
Rate/ha: 5kg

NON-EDIBLE CROPS and BARE SOIL
Draza Elite pellets may be applied at 5.0 kg/ha to any non-edible crop or to bare soil, as required.

APPLICATION
Draza Elite may be applied as a broadcast application to bare soil or any outdoor non- edible or listed edible crop, or in an admixture with cereal or ryegrass seed at drilling.

Broadcast application to bare soil or any outdoor non-edible crop and certain edible crops.
Broadcast Draza Elite pellets with a suitable granule or fertilizer applicator. The best results are obtained against slugs, snails and leatherjackets when they are feeding near the soil surface, normally during mild, damp conditions.Apply Draza Elite close to the time of drilling/planting when the pests or their damage are seen, or as indicated by monitoring for pest activity. For optimum results when weather conditions are conducive to soil surface slug activity apply Draza Elite to the prepared seedbed before drilling - the pellets should remain undisturbed on the soil surface for 4-7 days before the next cultivation, or drilling.A single treatment will normally clear up an infestation, but where the initial population is very high, or where due to climatic conditions a subsequent invasion of the pest occurs, further treatment may be necessary provided that the maximum number of treatments for the appropriate edible crop is not exceeded. Refer to table above.

Oilseed rape
Varieties with low glucosinolate contents are extremely susceptible to slug attack and growers should be especially vigilant for very first signs of slugs or grazing damage.
Alternatively, monitoring for slug activity using baited ‘traps’ should be carried out.
Application of Draza Elite must be made immediately slug activity occurs. Monitoring should continue and one further Draza Elite treatment may be applied if necessary.
Although the level of slug damage control achieved on double low oilseed rape may be comparable to that on single low varieties, the extreme susceptibility of the former may result in higher than expected damage levels after treatment.

Leatherjackets
Application of Draza Elite for the control of slugs and snails will also reduce the
leatherjacket population.

Strawberry seed beetle
Apply Draza Elite when the adult beetles appear at the time the fruit is forming, usually
before strawing down.

Admixture at drilling
Cereals

NOTE: Where an admixture of Draza Elite with cereal seed is used only one broadcast application of Draza Elite may be made to a cereal crop.
Application of Draza Elite in admixture with seed will protect the seed germ from being eaten and ensure maximum plant emergence.
The rate of Draza Elite should be varied with the seed drilling rate to ensure that 5 kg/ha Draza Elite is not exceeded.

Ryegrass
To help ensure maximum plant emergence 5 kg/ha Draza Elite may be used in admixture with ryegrass seed at drilling. Ensure the pellets are mixed evenly with the seed when filling the drill hopper.
Ryegrass seed admixed with Draza Elite may be stored, but the admixture must be drilled within 12 months of mixing.

General Notes
Draza Elite will provide optimum results when used as directed above, however control may be impaired:
Where straw or plant debris is present from previous crops.
Where minimal cultivations or direct drilling are practised.
In dense leafy crops.
In loose or cloddy seedbeds.
On soils with a high organic matter content e.g. humus rich soils.
On heavy soils, especially where drainage is poor.
In susceptible crops following leafy crops such as oilseed rape, peas, potatoes, vegetables etc.
Where weed control is inadequate.
Where irrigation is used.
In continuous mild / wet conditions.
Where the target pests do not come into contact with Draza Elite pellets.
Where application is made after slugs / snails have moved below ground and / or into the aerial parts of the crop.
