An oil-in-water emulsion containing 250 g/l tebuconazole.
A fungicide for control of a range of diseases in winter and spring wheat (excluding Durum) barley, rye, oats, oilseed rape, field beans, cabbages, carrots, parsnips, swedes, turnip, linseed and leeks.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
FUNGICIDE RESISTANCE FEZAN is a DMI fungicide. Repeated application of FEZAN alone on the same crop should be avoided. Tank mixture or alternation with fungicides with a different mode of action (e.g. morpholines) have been shown to protect against development of resistant forms of disease. Resistance to some DMI fungicides has been identified in Septoria leaf blotch (Mycosphaerella graminicola) which may seriously affect the performance of some products. For further advice on resistance management in DMIs contact your agronomist or specialist advisor.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USE
As a general rule, disease control and yield benefit will be optimal when treatment is made at an early stage of disease development. Apply FEZAN as a MEDIUM quality spray (as defined by BCPC). Add the required quantity of FEZAN to a half-filled spray tank with the agitation system in operation and fill to the required level. Maintain agitation whilst spraying and during stoppages. Spray immediately after mixing. FEZAN is compatible in tank-mix with a range of products. Contact your distributor for compatibility information on specific tank-mixes. Always follow label instructions for each tank-mix component

CROP RECOMMENDATIONS
CEREALS
Rate of Application
1.0 litre/ha.
Volume of Water
Apply in 200 - 300 litres of water/ha. Use higher water volumes in dense crops.
FEZAN can be applied to all varieties of winter and spring barley, winter and spring wheat (except Durum wheat) rye, and oats

For control of
Wheat Septoria Leaf Spot (Septoria tritici), Glume Blotch (S. nodorum), Powdery Mildew, Yellow Rust, Brown Rust and the Ear Disease Complex (incl. Fusarium, Alternaria and Cladosporium).
Barley Leaf Blotch (Rhynchosporium), Powdery Mildew, Yellow Rust, Brown Rust, Net Blotch

1. Control of Powdery Mildew (wheat, barley, oats and rye) Apply FEZAN at the first signs of disease. When disease pressure remains high application may be repeated if necessary, but see considerations under ‘FUNGICIDE RESISTANCE’.
2. Control of Septoria Leafspot and Septoria Glume Blotch (wheat) To protect the flag leaf and ear, apply FEZAN from the ‘flag leaf emerging’ stage (GS 37) up to the ‘ear fully emerged’ stage (GS 59).
Earlier application may be necessary if there is a high risk of Septoria leaf spot. Apply when disease is active but before it appears on the upper leaves. Applications made when foliar symptoms are already present on the upper leaves will be less effective.
3. Control of Yellow Rust and Brown Rust (wheat, barley and rye). Apply as soon as the disease is seen. Applications made to established infestations will be less effective. Repeat after 2-3 weeks if re-infection occurs.
4. Control of Fusarium Ear Blights and Sooty moulds (wheat) An application of FEZAN shortly after ear emergence can give a good reduction of Fusarium ear blight and a reduction of sooty moulds (Alternaria and Cladosporium).
5. Control of Rhynchosporium Leaf Blotch (barley and rye) Apply FEZAN at the onset of disease. A second application may be necessary 2 - 3 weeks later, but see considerations under ‘FUNGICIDE RESISTANCE’.
6. Control of Net Blotch (barley) Apply at the first sign of disease in the spring or early summer. If conditions remain favourable for disease development, a second application should be made 2-3 weeks later. If the disease develops after flag leaf emergence, a single application should provide good protection
7. Control of Crown Rust (oats) Apply FEZAN on first appearance of the disease. Applications made to control mildew on oats will reduce Crown Rust infections occurring at the same time.

OILSEED RAPE
Rate of Application
0.5 - 1.0 litre/ha (see below).
Volume of Water
Apply in 100 - 400 litres of water/ha. Use higher water volumes in dense crops.
Light Leaf Spot
Apply 500 ml/ha FEZAN in autumn/winter (usually late October to early December). Further spray(s) of 1.0 L/ha may be required in the spring/summer depending on disease development.
Where an autumn treatment of FEZAN has not been made and disease develops, apply FEZAN in early spring (March - after start of stem extension).
A later application of 1.0 L/ha of FEZAN pre- or post-flowering may be used to control late development of light leaf spot on pods and leaves

Phoma Leaf Spot/Stem Canker
Use an autumn/early winter application of 500 ml/ha FEZAN at first signs of disease onset, followed by a further 500 ml - 1.0 litre FEZAN in late winter/early spring.
Dark Leaf/Pod Spot (Alternaria spp)
Apply 1.0 L/ha FEZAN at the onset of disease attack when black pin-head spots first appear on the pods

FIELD BEANS
Rate of Application
1.0 litre/ha.
Volume of Water
Apply in 200 - 600 litres of water/ha. Use higher water volumes in dense crops.
For control of
Chocolate Spot and Bean Rust.
Apply at first sign of disease from early flowering onwards and repeat 3-4 weeks later

CABBAGES
Rate of Application
0.5 - 1.0* litre/ha (see below).
Volume of Water
Apply in 200 - 600 litres of water/ha. Use higher water volumes in dense crops.
For control of
Alternaria spp, Light Leaf Spot, Powdery Mildew & Ringspot.

Apply a programme of 3 sprays of 0.5 L/ha FEZAN at 21-28 day intervals. Best results will be obtained from well timed spray programmes started before disease, onset but do not apply FEZAN before the beginning of cabbage heart formation.
* Where Ringspot is established in the crop apply FEZAN at up to 1.0 L/ha to improve activity. Continue the spray programme to maintain control but do not exceed the maximum total dose of 2.25 L/ha per crop.
Consult processor before using FEZAN on crops grown under contract.

CARROT & PARSNIP
Rate of Application
1.0 litre/ha.
Volume of Water
Apply in 400 - 600 litres of water/ha. Use higher water volumes in dense crops.
For control of
Alternaria spp, and reduction in sclerotinia and powdery mildew infection.
Apply a programme of sprays at 3 week intervals from early/mid August or at first signs of disease on the leaves to reduce infection. Apply up to a total of 3 sprays if required

SWEDE & TURNIP
Rate of Application
1.0 litre/ha.
Volume of Water
Apply in 200 - 600 litres of water/ha. Use higher water volumes in dense crops.
For control of
Powdery mildew.
Apply FEZAN at first signs of disease on the leaves but not before 2.5cm root diameter. Apply a second spray if infection pressure continues

LINSEED
Rate of Application
1.0 litre/ha.
Volume of Water
Apply in 100 - 400 litres of water/ha. Use higher water volumes in dense crops.
For control of
Powdery mildew and a reduction of Botrytis.
Apply FEZAN at first signs of disease on the leaves.

LEEKS
Rate of Application
1.0 litre/ha.
Volume of Water
Apply in 400 - 600 litres of water/ha. Use higher water volumes in dense crops.
For control of
Rust.
Apply FEZAN at first signs of disease usually from August onwards. Make further applications at 14-21 day intervals if disease pressure persists up to a maximum of 3 sprays per crop
