A suspension concentrate containing 80 g/litre cyproconazole and 200 g/litre picoxystrobin for disease control in wheat, oats and barley.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

DISEASE CONTROL
‘Furlong’ contains cyproconazole (a DMI fungicide) and picoxystrobin (a QoI fungicide).
Disease control is generally more effective if ‘Furlong’ is applied at an early stage of disease development. ‘Furlong’ controls a wide range of diseases of wheat, barley and oats. At the recommended rate of application, ‘Furlong’ is active against Septoria leaf blotch (Mycosphaerella graminicola), Glume blotch (Septoria nodorum), Yellow and Brown rust in wheat, Rhynchosporium, Net blotch and Brown rust in barley and Crown rust in oats.

DISEASE RESISTANCE
When fungicides with the same mode of action are used repeatedly over several years in the same field, naturally occurring less sensitive strains may survive, propagate and become dominant in that field. A pathogen is considered resistant to a fungicide if it survives a correctly applied treatment at the recommended dose and timing, under normal weather conditions. Development of resistance within a pathogen can be avoided or delayed by alternating or mixing products having a different mode of action.
Resistance to DMI and QoI fungicides has been identified in Septoria leaf blotch (Mycosphaerella graminicola), which may seriously affect the performance of some
products. For further advice on resistance management, contact your agronomist or
specialist advisor. You must not apply more than two foliar applications of Qol containing products to any cereal crop.
Use ‘Furlong’ as part of an Integrated Crop Management (ICM) strategy incorporating other methods of control, including where appropriate other fungicides with a different mode of action.

CROPS
‘Furlong’ can be used on all winter and spring varieties of wheat, barley and oats

TIMING
‘Furlong’ controls diseases most effectively when diseases are at low levels and before they spread to new growth. Application can be repeated after 3-4 weeks if necessary.

DOSE
Apply ‘Furlong’ at 1.0 L/ha in 150 - 300 l/ha water using spraying equipment to give good even coverage of the crop. The higher volumes are recommended when the crop is dense.

MIXING
‘Furlong’ containers should be shaken well before use. ‘Furlong’ mixes easily with water and should be added directly to the spray tank during filling. Wash out container and add washings to the spray tank. Continue agitation during filling and when spraying.
