GENERAL INFORMATION
Gazelle SG is an insecticide for the control of aphids on apples, pears, plums and cherries and for the control of aphids and whitefly on tomatoes, peppers, aubergines and ornamentals.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
IMPORTANT: This information is approved as part of the Product Label. All instructions within this section must be read carefully in order to obtain safe and successful use of this product.

Mixing
Ensure sprayer is clean. Half fill the spray tank with clean water. Add the required amount of Gazelle SG to the tank and complete filling. Keep the spray solution agitated during application.

Crops
Apples, pears, plums, cherries: Gazelle SG controls a range of aphid species including rosy apple aphids. Effectiveness against woolly aphids has not been confirmed. Application should be made at the first sign of aphid attack. Where tree height and/or canopy density is reduced, the dose (and water volume) should be adjusted in accordance with an appropriate dose adjustment scheme. Consult your specialist advisor for further information.

Rate of application: Apply at a rate of 250-375g / ha for apples, pears and cherries. Apply at a rate of 250 g/ha for plums. Apply in a water volume of 1000 – 1500 l/ha depending on tree size. Thorough coverage of the foliage is essential to ensure good control. The spray should be applied as a fine / medium spray quality, up to the point of run-off.
Harvest interval: 14 days

Tomatoes, peppers, aubergines:
Gazelle SG will control all of the most common aphid species and both species of whitefly (glasshouse and tobacco). Application should be made at the first sign of insect attack.
A maximum of 2 applications can be made per crop. The rate of application should not be lower than specified to ensure good control and to prevent the likelihood of resistance build up.

Rate of application:
Aphids; Apply at a rate of 250 g/ha. Apply in a water volume of up to 1000 l/ha. Whitefly;
Apply at a rate of 500 g/ha. Apply in a water volume of up to 1000 l/ha. Thorough coverage of the foliage is essential to ensure good control. The spray should be applied as a fine / medium spray quality, up to the point of run-off. Harvest interval: 3 days

Resistance
Use no more than two applications of any neonicotinoid insecticide (e.g. acetamiprid, clothianidin, imidacloprid or thiacloprid) on any crop. Where a neonicotinoid insecticide has previously been used on the crop (e.g. as a seed treatment or soil treatment), use no more than a single foliar application of a neonicotinoid. Total reliance on one pesticide will hasten the development of resistance. Pesticides of different chemical types or alternative control measures should be included in the lanned programme. Alternating insecticides with different modes of action is a recognised anti-resistance strategy and Gazelle SG should always be used in conjunction with other insecticides of a different mode of action.
