DIRECTIONS FOR USE
FUNGICIDE RESISTANCE
GRAIL is a triazole fungicide. It is advisable to alternate the use of GRAIL with a fungicide with a different mode of action (e.g. a piperazine or morpholine fungicide) to avoid the build-up of resistant strains of disease. Disease control may be reduced if strains of a disease less sensitive to GRAIL develop.

CROP SPECIFIC INFORMATION
Winter and spring wheat (excluding durum wheat)
As a general rule, disease control and yield benefit will be optimal when treatment is made at an early stage of development.

Dose 1.25 l/ha

Water volume
Most crops 200 - litres of water per hectare.
Dense crops after the first node is detectable - 250 litres of water per hectare.
Large crops, varieties highly susceptible to disease - 300 litres of water per hectare.

Control of Septoria Leafspot and Septoria Glume blotch (wheat)
To protect the flag leaf and ear from Septoria tritici and S. nodorum apply GRAIL from flag leaf emergence (GS 37) and repeat before GS 61.
Earlier application may be necessary where there is a high risk of S. tritici and GRAIL should be applied when the disease is active but before it is visible on the upper leaves. Application should be made from the beginning of stem elongation (GS 31–32) and repeated at flag leaf emergence (GS 37–39).
Applications made once foliar symptoms of S. tritici are already present on the upper leaves will be less effective since symptoms only develop several weeks after initial crop infection has taken place.

Control of Powdery mildew
Apply GRAIL at the first signs of disease. Applications made to established infections or to particularly disease susceptible varieties are likely to be less effective.

Control of Brown rust
Apply GRAIL at the first signs of disease. Applications made to established infections are likely to be less effective.
A second application may be made two–three weeks later if re-infection occurs.

MIXING AND SPRAYING
Shake the container thoroughly before opening and use.

Half-fill the sprayer tank with clean water and begin agitation. Add the correct amount of GRAIL using a filling device (e.g. an induction hopper) or by direct addition to the tank, followed by the rest of the water.
Rinse the container clean, preferably with an integrated pressure-rinsing device, otherwise manually three times. Add the washings to the spray tank at the time of filling. Apply without delay. Maintain agitation while traveling and throughout the spraying operation.
Apply as a MEDIUM spray at a pressure of two–three bar. Do not apply in frosty weather or within three hours of rainfall. Apply to dry foliage.
Thoroughly clean the sprayer after use.

COMPATIBILITY
GRAIL is physically compatible with a wide range of agricultural chemicals. Consult your distributor for the latest recommendations.
