A emulsifiable concentrate containing 200 g/L penthiopyrad, a carboxamide fungicide, for disease control in wheat, barley, rye and triticale.

Disease Control
INTELLIS contains penthiopyrad, a broad-spectrum fungicide from the carboxamide group. Carboxamides are classified as succinate dehydrogenease inhibitor (SDHI) by the Fungicide Resistance Action Committee (FRAC). Penthiopyrad inhibits fungal respiration and should be used in mixture with fungicides with other modes of action.
INTELLIS shows good crop safety, disease control and maintenance of green leaf area which results in significant yield benefits. INTELLIS has activity on the following
diseases and is best used as a protectant treatment or in the earliest stages of disease development.

Resistance
INTELLIS contains penthiopyrad, a member of the SDHI cross resistance group of fungicides. INTELLIS should be used preventatively or at the early stage of disease
development. Use INTELLIS as part of an Integrated Crop Management (ICM) strategy incorporating other methods of control, including where appropriate other fungicides with a different mode of action. Disease control may be reduced if strains
of pathogens less sensitive to penthiopyrad develop.
When fungicides with the same mode of action are used repeatedly over several years in the same field, naturally occurring less sensitive strains may survive, propagate and become dominant in that field. A pathogen is considered resistant to a fungicide if it survives a correctly applied treatment at a recommended dose and timing, under normal weather conditions.
INTELLIS must always be used in mixture with another product, recommended for control of the same target disease that contains a fungicide from a different cross resistance group and is applied at a dose that will give robust control.
Do not apply more than two foliar applications of SDHI containing products to any cereal crop. Users should refer to current FRAC guidelines for SDHI compounds.

Volume and Application
Apply in 200 - 300 litres/ha of water using spraying equipment to give good even coverage of the crop. The higher volumes are recommended when the crop is dense.
A spray pressure of 2 – 3 Bar is recommended.

Mixing
Ensure that the sprayer is clean and correctly set to give an even application at the
required volume. Half-fill the spray tank with clean water and start agitation. Shake
the container and add the required amount of INTELLIS to the sprayer using a filling
device (e.g. induction bowl or closed transfer unit) or by direct addition to the sprayer tank. Wash out containers thoroughly, preferably using an integrated pressure rinsing device, or manually rinse three times. Add washings to the sprayer at the time of filling. Complete filling to the required volume and continue to agitate throughout the spraying operation. Do not leave the spray liquid in the sprayer for long periods (such as during meal breaks or overnight).Follow the Good Practice guide for empty pesticide containers.

Crops
INTELLIS can be used on all winter and spring crops of wheat, barley, rye and triticale. It may also be applied to barley undersown with grass/clover. Apply INTELLIS under good growing conditions with adequate soil moisture. Avoid poor growing conditions which may give less reliable results.

Dose
Apply INTELLIS at 1.5 litre per hectare. INTELLIS must always be used in mixture with another product, recommended for control of the same target disease that contains a fungicide from a different cross resistance group and is applied at a dose
that will give robust control.

Timing
Best results will be achieved from applications made as a protectant treatment or in
the earliest stages of disease development. INTELLIS may be applied from the beginning of stem elongation (GS 30) up to the end of flowering (GS 69) on wheat, barley, rye and triticale. Up to a maximum of 2 treatments may be made. If a second treatment is required, this may be applied after 21 days.
