A systemic fungicide for control of powdery mildew in apples, blackcurrants, gooseberries, cucumbers and roses.
An emulsifiable concentrate containing 250 g/l (27.2% w/w) bupirimate, n-butanol and hydrocarbons.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
IMPORTANT: This information is approved as part of the Product Label. All instructions within this section must be read carefully in order to obtain safe and successful use of this product.

PREPARATION OF SPRAY SOLUTION
Slowly invert the container several times before using, to ensure uniform mixture. Half-fill the spray tank with clean water. Add the recommended quantity of NIMROD to the sprayer using a filling device (e.g. induction bowl) or by direct addition to the sprayer tank. Wash out containers thoroughly, preferably using an integrated pressure rising device, or manually rinse three times. Add washings to the sprayer at the time of filling. Top-up tank with water to required level.

APPLICATION METHOD
Apply by any suitable hydraulic or orchard crop sprayer in a minimum of 300 litres of water per hectare unless otherwise stated. Agitate the spray tank contents throughout the spraying operation. Ensure good coverage and penetration of the spray and that the sprayer is correctly calibrated before use. Do not leave the spray liquid in the sprayer for long periods (i.e. during meals or overnight).

RESISTANCE
The resistance risk for bupirimate is medium and, therefore, resistance management is required. In apples it is recommended to limit the number of sprays with NIMROD to a maximum of 2 cycles of a maximum of 3 treatments one after the other. These cycle treatments have to be alternated with treatments using available fungicide products based on a different mode of action. A maximum of 6 treatments will be allowed during one cropping season. Use a 10 to 12 day interval between the treatments in a cycle.

RECOMMENDATIONS
APPLES
Rate of use
Use 0.75 litres/ha and repeat at 10-12 day intervals.
During periods conducive to powdery mildew and especially during rapid leaf development in June, best results are obtained by applying at shorter spray intervals.

Timing
Apply at late green cluster and repeat until extension growth ceases. Post-harvest sprays may be required where mildew is present and likely to be damaging and will reduce the amount of over-wintering inoculum.
Harvest interval: 14 days

BLACKCURRANTS
Rate of use and timing

Low Volume
Use 2 litres/ha

High Volume
1 litre per 1000 litres water
Apply through any low or high volume sprayer from early May and repeat at 14 day intervals until 2 weeks before harvest. Repeat after harvest at least twice.

GOOSEBERRIES
Rates of use and timing

Low Volume
Use: 0.7 litres/ha and repeat at 7 day intervals.
Or: 1.1 litres/ha and repeat at 10 day intervals.
Or: 1.4 litres/ha and repeat at 14 day intervals.

High Volume – in 1000 litres water/ha
Use: 0.3 litres/ha and repeat at 7 day intervals.
Or: 0.5 litres/ha and repeat at 10 day intervals.
Or: 0.6 litres/ha and repeat at 14 day intervals.
No more that 7 litres of NIMROD per hectare in total should be applied to any one crop. Apply at first signs of disease and repeat at 7-14 day intervals.
Harvest interval: 14 days.

CUCUMBERS
Rate of use and timing
200 ml/100 litres water. Spray thoroughly to wet all foliage. Apply at the onset of disease and repeat at 14 day intervals. Apply a maximum of 6 sprays
Harvest interval: 2 days.

Note: Some leaf spotting may occur during the winter and early spring when light levels are low. If it is necessary to spray in these conditions, test-spray a few plants 10-14 days before spraying the whole crop. Strains of powdery mildew (Sphearotheca fuligenea) resistant to bupirimate are common. NIMROD is ineffective against these resistant strains

CROPS FOR PROCESSING
NIMROD has not caused taint in tests with treated fruit but consult processor before using on any crops for processing
