PROPERTIES OF RETRO
RETRO is rainfast 15 minutes after spraying and acts rapidly on the green parts of all plants.
Extreme care should be taken to avoid spray drift as this can severely damage neighbouring crops or plants. RETRO is inactivated by soil and cannot affect further crops. RETRO may beapplied through any standard farm sprayer.

RESISTANCE
Diquat (and paraquat) belong to the class of herbicide known as the bipyridyls. Strains of Annual Meadow-Grass and American Willowherb resistant to paraquat have been found in some hop yards/gardens and also top and soft fruit orchards. Where diquat resistant strains are present RETRO may not give full control of these weeds.

CROP SPECIFIC INFORMATION
Rate of Use
2.0-4.0 litres per hectare RETRO.
Volume of Water
200–500 litres per hectare.
Add a non-ionic surfactant adjuvant that is not an organosilicone in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
Effectiveness may be reduced where shoot regrowth is dense.

MIXING AND SPRAYING
Application
Apply as an overall spray for the control of a range of broad leaved weeds. RETRO should be applied through a ground sprayer in good condition. Do not apply through mistblowers or through ultra low volume equipment (ULVA).
Mixing
Fill the spray tank nine tenths full of clean water, then start agitation. Add the recommended quantity of RETRO to the sprayer using a filling device (e.g. induction hopper), or by direct addition to the spray tank. Thoroughly rinse empty containers, preferably use an integrated pressure rinsing device (or manually rinse three times). Add washings to the sprayer at the time of filling. Top up tank with water to the required volume. Continue agitation until spraying is completed.
