A flowable concentrate for seed treatment containing 460 g/l flutolanil for the control of black scurf and stem canker on seed potatoes

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
IMPORTANT: This information is approved as part of the Product Label. All instructions within this section must be read carefully in order to obtain safe and successful use of this product.
Rhino controls black scurf and stem canker on potatoes, when applied to the seed prior to planting
Maximum individual dose: 200 ml of product per tonne of potatoes

Crops
Rhino can be used on seed potatoes for the seed, ware or processing market. It can be used on the seed tubers of all varieties of early, second early and maincrop potatoes grown for seed, ware or processing. Check with your processor before using Rhino on the crop.

Timing
Rhino should be applied to the seed tubers before chitting or prior to planting or at planting. Only apply one application per batch.

Disease Control
Rhino is a seed potato treatment which controls stem canker and black scurf (Rhizoctonia solani). It controls black scurf on seed tubers and protects the progeny against black scurf and stem canker
Rhino acts against the tuber borne inoculum of R. solani which independent sources have indicated is the most important source of infection. However, where soil borne inoculum is high, treatment of seed tubers with Rhino may not give full protection against infection of stems and daughter tubers.

Application
Dose
Use Rhino at 200 ml per tonne of seed potatoes

Volumes/ equipment
Apply Rhino through canopied, hydraulic or spinning disc equipment (with or without electrostatics) mounted on a rolling conveyer or table. It may be applied diluted with water at up to 2.0 litres of spray solution per tonne of potatoes ensuring good coverage.

Crop conditions
For best results the tubers should be clean and free from soil (less than 5% of surface). Disease under areas of soil/dust will not be exposed to spray and will not be controlled. Seed tubers should be of good quality and vigour (free from bacterial rots, physical damage, virus infection etc), and should not be sprouted to such an extent that mechanical damage to the shoots will occur during treatment or planting.

Mixing
Fill the tank with half the required volume of water. Measure the appropriate amount of Rhino into the tank and make up to the required volume of water. Agitate thoroughly before and during application

Compatability and sequences
Rhino may be used in sequence after or co-applied with Fungazil 100SL.
