Restrictions/Warnings
This product may cause damage to broad-leaved plant species. Avoid spray drift on to neighbouring crops. Wash equipment thoroughly after use. Avoid contamination of waterways by spray drift. Do not contaminate water with the product or its container (Do not clean application equipment near surface water/Avoid contamination via drains from farmyards and roads).

Crops
RUBRIC can be used in Winter wheat, Spring wheat, Winter barley, Spring barley, Triticale, Rye and Oats.

Disease control
Specific Diseases Controlled: RUBRIC is a systemic fungicide with protectant and curative properties for the control of powdery mildew, brown and yellow rusts, eyespot and leaf blotch on Winter and Spring wheat, Rye and Triticale; Scald, net blotch and brown rust on Winter and Spring barley; powdery mildew on Oats. RUBRIC also provides reduction of eyespot in Winter barley, Winter oats and Winter wheat; good reduction of Fusarium ear blight and reduction of sooty moulds (Cladosporium, Botrytis) on the ears of Winter and Spring wheat and moderate control of Septoria spp and Rhyncosporium in barley.

Rate and Time of Application
Winter wheat, Spring wheat, Rye & Triticale:
Rate of Application: 1 litre per hectare.
Time of Application: Apply at the start of foliar disease attack.

A maximum of two applications can be made up to and including ‘flowering just complete’ stage. For control of Septoria, treatment should normally be made after the ‘third node detectable’ stage when weather favouring disease development has occurred. A follow-up treatment may be necessary if conditions continue to favour disease development. For optimum effect against eyespot with RUBRIC apply between the ‘leaf sheaths erect’ and ‘ second node detectable’ stages of the crop. For protection against Fusarium ear blight and sooty mould on the ears of winter and spring wheat, apply RUBRIC during emergence. For a quicker clean-up of any mildew established at the time of application, apply RUBRIC in a tank mix with an approved formulation of fenpropimorph at the following dose: 1 litre of RUBRIC + 0.5 litre of fenpropimorph (375 g active ingredient/ha) per hectare.

Resistance
Strains of certain cereal diseases with decreased sensitivity to triazole fungicides are known to exist. Where these occur or develop Rubric may not give satisfactory control. Rubric contains a DMI fungicide. Resistance to some DMI fungicides has been identified in Septoria leaf blotch (Mycosphaerella graminicola) which may seriously affect the performance of some products. For further advice on resistance management in DMIs, contact your agronomist or specialist advisor.

Mixing and Spraying
Apply Rubric in a minimum of 200 litres of water per hectare. Apply as a MEDIUM spray using a tractor-mounted sprayer. Half fill the spray tank with clean water and start the agitation. Shake the container well before use and pour in the required amount of product. Rinse empty containers thoroughly and add rinsings to the spray tank. Add the remainder of the water and continue agitation until spraying is completed. When tank mixes are to be used, each product should be added separately to the spray tank, taking due note of any instructions given as to the order of mixing.
