SPRAY APPLICATION TECHNIQUES AND EQUIPMENT
Filling Spray Tank: Half-fill the clean spray tank with clean water, add the required quantity of product and mix well, and add the remaining water. do not use mechanical agitators. Place the filling hose below water level to prevent excessive foaming and remove immediately after filling to prevent backsiphoning. Compatibility: do not add wetting agents, oils or other pesticides unless recommended on this leaflet.

Cleaning Spray Equipment: Always clean spray tanks and equipment adequately after use, using the recommended detergents to be sure to avoid contamination with residues. contamination with product residues could damage crops when the sprayer is next used for another pesticide

Non-selective Applications (Rotary Applicators): overall Mistblower and ULVA® applicators are only to be used in forestry or orchards. When using ULVA the total spray volume should range from 10-20 l/ha, and with Mistblower between 90-175 l/ha. Use the correct ScUtcHoUt 360 dose rate for control of the particular target weeds. recommended Applicators include: Microdrop®, Lely Hydraspin, cdA Boom and cdA Lightweight, dual-option, Girojet.

DIRECTED APPLICATION Knapsack
Knapsack sprayers may be used in forestry, orchards and non-crop land. Spray volumes normally range from 200-300 l/ha, but may be reduced to 100-150 l/ha if low volume nozzles have been fitted to swath. Spray quality should be "MediUM" or "coArSe."
When using a knapsack sprayer with a total capacity of 10 litres if applying at 4.0 l/ha with a spray volume of 200 l/ha, giving a concentration of 2%, thus requiring 0.2 litres of ScUtcHoUt 360 in 9.8 litres of water. Similarly when required application rate is 6.0 l/ha use 0.3 litres ScUtcHoUt 360 in 9.7 litres of water. A 10 litre spray volume will cover a 500 m2 area using a 1 m wide swath and a 1 m/sec walking speed.
