DIRECTIONS FOR USE
IMPORTANT: This information is approved as part of the Product Label. All instructions within this section must be read carefully in order to obtain safe and successful use of this product.

CROP SPECFIC INFORMATION
WINTER WHEAT, SPRING WHEAT, DURUM WHEAT, RYE AND TRITICALE
Wheat: moderate control of Septoria leaf blotch (Mycosphaerella graminicola) and glume blotch (Phaeosphaeria nodorum)
Rye: moderate control of Septoria leaf blotch (Mycosphaerella graminicola), glume blotch (Phaeosphaeria nodorum) and Rhynchosporium secalis (leaf scale)
Triticale: moderate control of Septoria leaf blotch (Mycosphaerella graminicola) and Rhynchosporium secalis (leaf scale). Apply at a rate of 2.0 litres in 200 litres of water per hectare as a MEDIUM spray (as defined by BCPC) at a pressure of at least 2.0 bar.

TIMING
STEFONIL can be applied once between GS30 and GS32 (2nd node detectable stage) up to a maximum individual dose of 2.0 l/ha if Septoria is evident and/or conditions are favorable to the spread of the disease. This may give protection against the spread of Septoria.
STEFONIL applied between third node detectable stage (GS33) and the mid-flowering stage (GS65) will provide protection against Septoria on the flag leaf and ear. For best results apply up to 2.0 l/ha between the third node detectable stage (GS33) and the flag leaf fully emerged stage (GS69).
Application interval = 21 days

NOTE
STEFONIL may have reduced effectiveness against Septoria if the crop also has a serious mildew infection. In this case a product active against mildew should be applied before or with STEFONIL.

WINTER BARLEY, SPRING BARLEY
STEFONIL can be used in barley to give moderate control of Rhynchosporium secalis. Apply at a rate of 2.0 litres in 200 litres of water per hectare as a MEDIUM spray (as defined by BCPC) at a pressure of at least 2.0 bar.

TIMING
Apply when disease is first detected in the crop. A second application may be made before beginning of flowering/first anthers visible (GS 61) if severe Rhynchosporium pressure occurs or if there is a risk of leaf spotting.
Application interval = 21 days.

MIXING
Invert and shake the container well before opening. Put half the required volume of water into the spray tank and commence agitation. Pour in the required amount of STEFONIL followed by the remainder of the water. Continue agitation whilst filling and during spraying. Do not leave sprayer standing with mixture in it. Always ensure that the sprayer is in good working order and calibrated accurately to the manufacturer’s recommendations. Thoroughly wash all spraying equipment immediately before and after use.

STORAGE
Keep dry and frost proof in a suitable pesticide store.
