DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Disease control
TIZCA is a fungicide for control of foliar blight (Phytophthora infestans) and protection against tuber blight (Phytophthora infestans) in potatoes.
Crops
TIZCA can be used in early and maincrop potatoes and in seed potatoes.
Rate and Time of Application
Apply TIZCA at 400 ml/ha.

POTATOES
Diseases: Foliar blight (Phytophthora infestans), Tuber blight (Phytophthora infestans).
Rate: 0.4l/ha
Critical comments: maximum total dose: 4.0 litres product per hectare. Latest time of application: 7 days before harvest.

Initial application: Irrespective of crop growth stage, apply TIZCA at the first warning or when local weather conditions are favourable for the disease, whichever is the sooner. In the absence of weather conducive to disease development, the first application should be made just before the crop meets in the rows.

Repeat applications: Low risk (before conditions conducive to blight development have occured) - interval between applications: 14 days. Dose rate: 400 ml/ha.
High risk (following two warm, humid days or in irrigated crops) - interval between applications: 7-10 days. Dose rate: 400 ml/ha.
Severe risk (during continued warm, humid weather and when blight is in nearby crops, potato dumps or volunteer plants) -  interval between applications: 5-7 days. Dose rate: 400 ml/ha.
Apply according to blight warning and disease prediction systems.

Tuber blight: To reduce the risk of tuber blight at harvest TIZCA should be used regularly at the recommended intervals from full canopy development to complete haulm desiccation. Potato blight fungicides may not give complete protection when the disease risk is severe. However, disease development will be delayed significantly with a well timed spray programme.

Mixing and Spraying
Apply TIZCA in a 200-500 litres of water per hectare. Use adequate water to ensure complete coverage of the foliage and stems, increasing the volume as haulm growth progresses, particularly in dense crops and under high or severe blight risk conditions. Apply as a MEDIUM spray. Half fill the spray tank with clean water and start the agitation. Shake the container well before opening and pour in the required amount of product. Rinse empty containers thoroughly and add rinsings to the spray tank. Add the remainder of the water and continue agitation until spraying is completed. When tank mixes are to be used, each product should be added separately to the spray tank, taking due note of any instructions given as to the order of mixing. Do not leave the spray liquid in the sprayer for long periods.

Compatibility
For information on tank mixing please contact your distributor or refer to the Headland Agrochemicals web-site (www.headland-ag.co.uk).

Resistance
Disease control may be reduced if strains of pathogen less sensitive to TIZCA develop. Make a timely start to spray programmes, when there is warning or risk, or, in the absence of weather conducive to disease development, just before the crop foliage begins to meet in the rows. Use forecast schemes and /or local knowledge to time application more accurately. Alternate with other fungicides having a different mode of action to FRAC Group 29 fungicides.
