General Information:

Austral Herbicide is a pre-emergent, broad-spectrum weedicide for sugarcane crop. It provides excellent broad-spectrum weed control from day one and exhibits selective, systematic, dual, and residual mode of action. It controls initial weed competition in critical growth stage, leads to increased tillers and strong establishment, and develops overall crop vigor.

Active Ingredient:

Austral Herbicide consists of two active ingredients, Clomazone 22.5% and Metribuzin 21% WP.

Mode of Action:

Austral Herbicide is a systemic, pre-emergent herbicide of the SU group having foliar and soil activity. It provides broad-spectrum weed control by inhibiting the synthesis of carotenoids in the target weeds, leading to chlorophyll destruction and plant death.

Application:

Austral Herbicide is a pre-emergent herbicide for sugarcane crop. It can be applied at a very low dosage of 8 g/acre and provides control of a wide range of broadleaf weeds in wheat crop. It forms a layer on top of the soil, doesn’t allow weeds to germinate, and controls weed from day one. It helps in the strong establishment of the crop and results in an increase in the tillers, the main growing reproductive part of the crop in the grand growth phase.

Precautions:

Austral Herbicide is easy and safe to use and handle. However, it is recommended to wear protective clothing such as gloves, long-sleeved shirts, long pants, shoes, and socks while handling the product. It is also advisable to avoid contact with skin, eyes, or clothing. In case of accidental exposure, rinse thoroughly with water.
