Cirrus CS is a residual herbicide which can be used in all varieties of winter and spring oilseed rape, spring combining peas, vining peas, winter and spring field beans. Crop plants emerged at the time of application may be severely damaged. Cirrus CS acts by inhibition of the biosynthesis of photosynthetic pigments leading to bleaching symptoms on susceptible weed species. Susceptible weeds emerge but are lacking pigmentation and plant death occurs shortly afterwards.

RESISTANCE: As part of Good Agricultural Practice steps should be taken to adopt a resistance management strategy as standard. Cirrus CS should be alternated with herbicides with a different mode of action and a similar spectrum of activity. Any subsequent herbicide applications should be made using herbicides with a different mode of action.
