General Information:

Fascinate Flash is a broad-spectrum herbicide that contains the active ingredients glufosinate ammonium and oxyfluorfen. It is effective against a wide range of annual and perennial weeds, including broadleaf weeds and grasses. Fascinate Flash is a systemic herbicide with contact and root uptake. It also has pre- and post-emergence activity.

Mode of Action:

Glufosinate ammonium is a glutamine synthetase inhibitor herbicide. Glutamine synthetase is an enzyme that is involved in the biosynthesis of glutamine, an essential amino acid in plants. By inhibiting glutamine synthetase, glufosinate ammonium stops the production of glutamine, which leads to the disruption of plant growth and development, and eventually to death.

Oxyfluorfen is a photosystem II inhibitor herbicide. Photosystem II is a complex of proteins and chlorophyll that is involved in the light-dependent reactions of photosynthesis. By inhibiting photosystem II, oxyfluorfen stops the production of ATP and NADPH, which are essential energy molecules for plant growth and development.

Application:

Fascinate Flash can be applied as a foliar spray or soil drench. The recommended dose and application method will vary depending on the weeds to be controlled and the stage of crop growth. For example, to control broadleaf weeds in tea, Fascinate Flash can be applied as a foliar spray at a dose of 1.2 liters per hectare.

Precautions:

• Fascinate Flash is not rain fast. Therefore, it should not be applied if rain is expected within 4 hours of application.
