General Information:

Hakama Super is a selective post-emergence herbicide that effectively controls a wide range of narrow-leaved weeds, particularly in broadleaf crops such as soybean, groundnut, sunflower, and cotton. It is an emulsifiable concentrate formulation that contains Quizalofop-ethyl 10% as the active ingredient. Hakama Super is known for its excellent crop safety and effectiveness in controlling resistant weed biotypes.

Active Ingredients:

  • Quizalofop-ethyl 10% EC

Mode of Action:

Hakama Super's active ingredient, Quizalofop-ethyl, belongs to the aryloxyphenoxypropionate (APP) group of herbicides. It acts by inhibiting the enzyme acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACCase), which is essential for fatty acid synthesis in plants. This disruption of fatty acid synthesis leads to the cessation of cell membrane formation and ultimately causes the death of susceptible weeds.

Application:

Hakama Super is applied as a post-emergence herbicide, meaning it is applied after the weeds have emerged. It can be applied as a foliar spray to actively growing weeds in broadleaf crops. The recommended application rate is 400-450 mL per hectare.

Precautions:

  • Hakama Super is a moderately toxic herbicide and should be handled with care. Wear protective clothing, gloves, and goggles when handling the product.
  • Avoid contact with skin and eyes. If contact occurs, flush with water for 15 minutes and seek medical attention.
  • Do not apply Hakama Super to crops that are under stress from drought, flooding, or other factors.
  • Do not apply Hakama Super to water bodies or areas where there is a risk of runoff to water bodies.
  • Hakama Super is harmful to fish and aquatic organisms.

Doses:

The recommended dose of Hakama Super for broadleaf crops is 400-450 mL per hectare. This dose can be adjusted based on the weed pressure and the growth stage of the crop.

This list is not exhaustive, and Hakama Super can control a wide range of other narrow-leaved weeds in broadleaf crops. For specific information on weed control, always refer to the product label or consult with a local agricultural extension agent.
