General Information:

Triskele is a post-emergence herbicide that contains the active ingredients 2,4-D Sodium Salt, Metribuzin, and Pyrazosulfuron-Ethyl. It is effective against a wide range of broadleaf weeds, sedges, and grasses in sugarcane. Triskele is a systemic herbicide with contact and root uptake.

Mode of Action:

Triskele works by combining the three different modes of action of its active ingredients:

  • 2,4-D Sodium Salt is a plant growth regulator that disrupts the growth and development of plants.
  • Metribuzin is a photosystem II inhibitor that disrupts photosynthesis in plants.
  • Pyrazosulfuron-Ethyl is an acetolactate synthase (ALS) inhibitor that disrupts the synthesis of essential amino acids in plants.

Application:

Triskele can be applied as a foliar spray. The recommended dose and application method will vary depending on the weeds to be controlled and the stage of crop growth. For example, to control broadleaf weeds, sedges, and grasses in sugarcane, Triskele can be applied as a post-emergence herbicide at a dose of 1.2 kg per hectare.

Precautions:

  • Triskele is a systemic herbicide, so it is important to follow the pre-harvest interval (PHI) specified on the label before harvesting sugarcane.
  • Triskele is toxic to fish and other aquatic organisms. Therefore, it should not be applied near water bodies.
  • Triskele is a selective herbicide, but it can harm some crops if applied incorrectly. It is important to read and follow the label directions carefully.
