General Information:

Bindaas is a fungicide manufactured by HPM Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd. that is used to prevent paddy blast disease in rice crops .

Active Ingredients:

The active ingredient in Bindaas is tricyclazole, which belongs to the triazolobenzothiazole family and acts as a melanin biosynthesis inhibitor .

Mode of Action:

It is a systemic fungicide that is absorbed rapidly by the roots and foliage of the plant and translocated in the xylem and apoplast within the plants .

Application:

The product comes in a 75% WP formulation, with trade name BINDAAS. It is available in 100gm, 120gm, and 250gm packaging . The recommended dosage for paddy blast disease prevention is between 120-160 gm per acre, diluted in 200 liters of water . The waiting period after application is 30 days .

Precautions:

It is recommended to wear protective clothing such as gloves, long-sleeved shirts, and pants while handling Bindaas . Avoid contact with skin, eyes, and clothing. In case of contact with eyes or skin, rinse thoroughly with water for at least 15 minutes. If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately .

Doses:

The recommended dosage for paddy blast disease prevention is between 120-160 gm per acre, diluted in 200 liters of water .
