General Information:
Cilpyrox is a systemic fungicide that belongs to the Caboxynilide group. It is effective against a wide range of fungal diseases in a variety of crops, including Paddy, Potato, Tomato, and Brinjal. Cilpyrox is a broad-spectrum fungicide that inhibits succinate dehydrogenase in mitochondria, which helps in energy creation of fungus.
Active Ingredient:
- Thifluzamide 24% SC
Mode of Action:
Cilpyrox is a systemic fungicide that is absorbed by the roots and leaves of the plants and translocated to all parts of the plant, including the growing points. It inhibits succinate dehydrogenase, an enzyme involved in the energy production of fungi. By inhibiting succinate dehydrogenase, Cilpyrox prevents the fungi from growing and eventually kills them.
Application:
Cilpyrox can be applied as a foliar spray, soil drench, or seed treatment. The recommended dose and application method will vary depending on the crop and the target disease. For example, to control sheath blight in paddy, Cilpyrox can be applied as a foliar spray at a dose of 1.0-1.5 kg/ha.
Precautions:
- Cilpyrox is a selective fungicide, but it can injure some crops if applied incorrectly. It is important to read and follow the label directions carefully.
- Cilpyrox has a long residual activity in the soil. Therefore, it is important to rotate crops to avoid injury to subsequent crops.
- Cilpyrox is toxic to fish and other aquatic organisms. Therefore, it should not be applied near water bodies.
