General Information:

  • Trade name: Nativo
  • Active ingredients: Tebuconazole (100 g/L) and Trifloxystrobin (50 g/L)
  • Fungicide class: Triazole fungicide and Strobilurin fungicide

Mode of Action:

Nativo is a systemic fungicide that works by two different modes of action. Tebuconazole is a triazole fungicide that inhibits the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes. Trifloxystrobin is a strobilurin fungicide that disrupts the energy production of fungi by inhibiting the cytochrome bc₁ complex. This combination of modes of action makes Nativo very effective against a wide range of fungal diseases.

Application:

Nativo can be applied to a variety of crops, including cereals, oilseeds, vegetables, and fruits. It can be applied pre-emergence or post-emergence, but it is most effective when applied preventatively. Nativo can be applied using a variety of application methods, including ground spraying, aerial spraying, and chemigation.

Precautions:

  • Nativo is toxic to fish and other aquatic life. Do not apply Nativo to areas where it may run off into water bodies.
  • Nativo can be harmful to non-target plants. Avoid applying Nativo to areas where non-target plants are growing.
  • Nativo is a residual fungicide, so it can persist in the soil for several weeks. Do not plant crops that are sensitive to Nativo within 3 to 6 weeks of application.

Always follow the label directions carefully when using Nativo fungicide to ensure safe and effective use.

Additional Information:

  • Nativo is a relatively new fungicide, so there is less resistance to it than other fungicides.
  • Nativo is a broad-spectrum fungicide, which means that it is effective against a wide range of fungal diseases, including:
    • Cereal rusts
    • Cereal leaf spots
    • Oilseed rape diseases
    • Vegetable diseases, such as powdery mildew and downy mildew
    • Fruit diseases, such as apple scab and peach leaf curl
  • Nativo is a systemic fungicide, which means that it is absorbed by the plant and translocated to the growing points. This makes it very effective at controlling fungal diseases.

Nativo is a valuable tool for farmers and other land managers who need to control fungal diseases in a variety of crops. It is important to use Nativo according to the label directions to ensure safe and effective use.
