General Info

  • Nimrod is a pyrimidine fungicide with both protective and curative activity for the control of Powdery Mildew.
  • Nimrod reaches the site of action through multiple ways and starts faster action. Nimrod has Contact, Systemic, Translaminar & Vapour activities.
  • Nimrod penetrates through the leaf surface and inhibits nucleic acid synthesis.
  • Nimrod inhibits Powdery Mildew fungus at various stages - Spore germination, Appresoria, Haustoria, Hyphal growth.
  • Nimrod is highly safe to use.
  • Nimrod is an excellent choice in spray programmes to complement fungicides with alternative modes of action, such as demethylation inhibitor products or strobilurines.
  • Bupirimate belongs to the FRAC group 8, resistance to this group of fungicides is thought to be controlled multi-genically. No cases of resistance have been reported in the last 15 years.
  • Nimrod is IPM complaint.

RESTRICTIONS/WARNINGS
For varietal restrictions on ornamental plants please refer to ‘Crop Specific Information’.
It is advisable to test for compatibility and tolerance to crop injury prior to full scale commercial use on ornamentals.

RESISTANCE MANAGEMENT.
To reduce the likelihood of resistant strains of powdery mildew developing in all crops, it is recommended that NIMROD® should be used in spray programmes with other suitable mildew fungicides with alternative modes of action.

CROPS FOR PROCESSING

NIMROD has not caused taint in tests with blackcurrants and gooseberries, but consult processor before using on any crops for processing.

MIXING AND APPLICATION
Preparation of Spray Solution:
Slowly invert the container several times before using to ensure uniform mixture. Half fill the spray tank with clean water. Add the recommended quantity of NIMROD to the sprayer using a filling device (e.g. induction bowl) or by direct addition to the sprayer tank. Wash out containers thoroughly, preferably using an integrated pressure rinsing device, or manually rinse three times. Add washings to the sprayer at the time of filling. Top-up tank with water to required level.
Dispose of rinsed container according to the HSE Code of Practice.

Application Method
Apply by any suitable hydraulic or orchard crop sprayer in a minimum of 300 litres of water per hectare unless otherwise stated. Agitate the spray tank contents throughout the spraying operation. Ensure good coverage and penetration of the spray and that the sprayer is correctly calibrated before use.Do not leave the spray liquid in the sprayer for long periods (i.e. during meals or overnight).

INCOMPATIBILITIES

Do not mix other chemicals with NIMROD for application to begonias and cucumbers.
