General Information:

Saafilizer GR is a granular fungicide that contains two active ingredients: mancozeb and carbenazim. It is effective against a wide range of fungal diseases in a variety of crops, including groundnuts, potatoes, tomatoes, and other vegetables.

Mode of Action:

Mancozeb is a multi-site fungicide. This means that it disrupts a variety of cellular processes in fungal cells, making it difficult for the fungi to survive. Mancozeb also has a protective effect, preventing fungal spores from germinating and infecting plants.

Carbendazim is a benzimidazole fungicide that inhibits the production of tubulin, which is a component of fungal microtubules. Microtubules are essential for fungal cell division and growth. By inhibiting the production of tubulin, carbendazim disrupts fungal cell division and growth, leading to cell death.

Application:

Saafilizer GR can be applied as a pre-planting or post-planting soil drench. It can also be applied as a basal dressing or side dressing. The recommended dose and application method will vary depending on the crop to be protected and the disease to be controlled. 

Precautions:

• Saafilizer GR is a selective fungicide, but it can harm some crops if applied incorrectly. It is important to read and follow the label directions carefully.
• Saafilizer GR is not rain fast. Therefore, it should not be applied if rain is expected within 4 hours of application.
• Saafilizer GR is toxic to fish and other aquatic organisms. Therefore, it should not be applied near water bodies.
