Botryosphaeria head blight

Botryosphaeria spp.

White grain disease. Botryosphaeria spp. has been identified on the leaves of barley and durum. Spores that spread the disease throughout the crop are borne in small black fruiting bodies. In the paddock, heads infected with BHB look like they have ‘blighted’ or died. - See more at: http://www.grdc.com.au/Media-Centre/Ground-Cover/Ground-Cover-Issue-92-May-June-2011/White-grains-may-be-blight-disease#sthash.RrqHyZTU.dpuf
