For selective pre-emergence weed control of annual grasses and many broadleaf weeds in grain and silage maize

GENERAL INFORMATION
ACIERTO is a selective pre-emergence herbicide for the control of annual grasses and many broadleaf weeds in maize. ACIERTO is absorbed by the shoots and roots of weeds and kills them as they germinate.

WEEDS CONTROLLED
Annual poa,  Black nightshade, Broadleaf dock, Green bristle grass, Rough bristle grass,  Seedling Dock, Shepherd’s purse, Summer grass, Twin cress, Barnyard grass, Bristle grass,  Chickweed, Redroot, Scotch thistle, Seedling Johnson grass, Smooth witchgrass , Stinking mayweed.
ACIERTO will suppress cornbind, fathen, field pansy, fumitory, spurrey, wild radish, willow weed and wireweed. Perennial weeds are not controlled by ACIERTO.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Apply 2.3 – 2.8 litres/ha immediately after sowing and prior to crop and weed emergence. Use the higher rate on soils high in clay or organic matter content. For best results, apply ACIERTO within seven days of last cultivation. The soil surface should be firm and free of trash and clods. Under very dry conditions a pre-plant soil incorporated application may be beneficial. Paddocks that have high fathen and willow weed populations may require a follow-up treatment of CUTLASS® Herbicide, ATRANEX® SC Herbicide or ATRANEX® WG Herbicide.

MIXING
Ensure spray equipment is thoroughly cleaned before use. Add the required amount of ACIERTO to a partly filled spray tank with the agitation system operating. Add the remaining water and any tank mixture partners. Maintain agitation until spraying is complete. Flush equipment with clean water after use. Do not allow spray mixture to stand overnight. Apply in at least 200 litres of water per hectare. When ACIERTO is used on raw peat, it is recommended that the soil is cultivated prior to establishing pasture following harvest of crop.

WITHOLDING PERIODS
Not required when used as directed. RE-ENTRY PERIOD Do not re-enter the treated area until the spray has dried completely.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
SOIL CONDITIONS/RAINFALL
Best results will be obtained when application is made to a freshly prepared, fine, moist soil, free of trash, with at least 10 mm of rain within 1 week of application. Under drier soil conditions, 30 mm of rain within 2 – 3 weeks is necessary. Application by pre-plant incorporation may be beneficial under very dry conditions.

SOIL RESIDUES
Under normal use, soil residues should not carry over to successive crops. In a replant situation when the previous ACIERTO treated crop may have failed for whatever reason, contact your ADAMA representative or merchant for advice before replanting. If establishing pasture in peat soils, cultivate soil before sowing if ACIERTO has been applied to the previous crop.
