RESISTANCE MANAGEMENT
Resistance to this fungicide and related products could develop from repeated use. To minimise this risk use strictly in accordance with the label instructions. Follow the individual disease resistance management strategies for each crop.
Cereals: Use a maximum of 3 DMI applications per crop, including seed treatment, at full recommended label rates. Where Powdery Mildew is severe, use DMI fungicides in conjunction with alternative products.
Grapes: Use a maximum of 4 sprays, preferably in mixture with an approved protectant fungicide. No more than 2 DMI fungicides should be applied alone per season.
Stonefruit: Use a maximum of 3 applications preferably in mixture with a non-DMI fungicide. Restrict use of the DMI fungicides to one part of the growing season, either during flowering or pre-harvest. Ensure full coverage of foliage.

MIXING
Add the required amount of ALTO 100 SL to the half filled spray tank. Add the reminder of the water and agitate thoroughly while mixing, spraying and when restarting after a stoppage.

COMPATIBILITY
ALTO 100 SL is compatible with sulphur, mancozeb, streptomycin and most other fungicides and insecticides. Ensure thorough agitation of the mixture while spraying. DO NOT tank mix ALTO 100 SL with copper fungicides.

STORAGE
Store in a cool dry place and protect from sunlight. Avoid temperatures below minus 5°C or above 35°C.
See Safety Data Sheet for additional storage information. Stores containing quantities of 100 litres or more require signage and secondary containment.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
It is an offence to use this product on animals

BARLEY
Disease:
Leaf Rust (Puccinia hordei)
Rate:
400 mL/ha

OATS
Disease:
Crown Rust (Puccinia coronata)
Rate:
400 mL/ha

WHEAT
Disease:
Stripe Rust (Puccinia striiformis)
Rate:
400 mL/ha

WHEAT
Disease:
Leaf Rust (Puccinia recondita)
Rate:
400 mL/ha

WHEAT
Disease:
Speckled Leaf Blotch (Septoria tritici)
Rate:
400 mL/ha

Critical Comments: Apply as a preventative spray when conditions favour disease development or at the first sign of disease symptoms. A repeat application may be necessary after 3 to 4 weeks.

WHEAT
Disease:
Powdery Mildew (Blumeria graminis)
Rate:
600 mL/ha
Critical Comments:
Apply as a preventative spray when conditions favour disease development or at the first sign of disease symptoms. A repeat application may be necessary after 3 to 4 weeks. Where Powdery Mildew is severe, use DMI fungicides in conjunction with alternative products.

GRAPES
Disease:
Powdery Mildew (Uncinula necator)
Rate:
15 mL/100 litres
Critical Comments:
Apply non-DMI fungicides (eg sulphur) prior to flowering. From flowering apply ALTO 100 SL at 2 to 3 week intervals. Ensure complete coverage using not less than 1000 litres water per hectare. Early season ALTO 100 SL treatments may cause leaf discolouration on some grape varieties but this has not affected yield or fruit quality.

ONIONS, GARLIC
Disease:
White Rot (Sclerotium cepivorum), Rolf's disease (Athelia rolfsii)
Rate:
1 to 1.5 litres in 1000 litres water/ha
Critical Comments:
The use of a suitable fungicide seed dressing is recommended. White Rot: Make the first application 6 to 8 weeks after seeding. Make 2 further applications at 4 week intervals.
For the control of Athelia rolfsii apply in early December as either the third White Rot application, or as a fourth application depending on timing of previous sprays.
Apply a maximum of 4 applications per crop.

PEAS
Disease:
Powdery Mildew (Erysiphe pisi)
Rate:
 250 mL/ha
Critical Comments:
Apply as a preventative spray when conditions favour disease development or at the first appearance of disease symptoms. If conditions persist for infection a repeat application may be necessary after 14 days.

RYEGRASS SEED CROPS
Disease:
Leaf Rust (Puccinia coronata), Stem Rust (Puccinia graminis)
Rate:
400 mL/ha
Critical Comments:
Apply as a preventative spray when conditions favour disease development or at first appearance of disease symptoms. Repeat at 3 to 4 week intervals. Apply a maximum of 3 applications per crop.

STONEFRUIT
Disease:
Brown Rot (blossom blight) (Monilinia spp)
Rate:
15 mL/100 litres
Critical Comments:
Make the first application at pink and repeat at 7 to 10 day intervals until shuck fall. Shorter intervals may be required in wet weather.

VEGETABLE AND FIELD BRASSICAS
Disease:
Ring Spot (Mycosphaerella brassicicola)
Rate:
400 mL/ha plus 2.5 L/ha 'all purpose' emulsifiable crop mineral oil
Critical Comments:
Apply as a preventative spray when conditions first favour disease development, or at the first sign of disease symptoms. Repeat at 2 to 3 week intervals. Apply a maximum of 4 applications per crop.

TURF GRASS DISEASE CONTROL

Brown Patch (Rhizocotonia solani)
Rate per 100m2:
30 to 40 mL
Application Interval:
21 to 28 days

Dollar Spot (Sclerotinia homeocarpa)
Rate per 100m2:
20 mL
Application Interval:
21 to 28 days

Rusts (Puccinia spp)
Rate per 100m2:
20 mL
Application Interval:
28 days

Red Thread (Laetisaria fuciformis)
Rate per 100m2:
 30 to 40 mL
Application Interval:
21 to 28 days

Critical Comments: Apply preventively when conditions favour disease development, especially when warm temperatures and high humidity persist. When disease pressure is high use the shorter application interval and/or the higher rate. Repeat as necessary. DO NOT apply more than 4 applications of ALTO 100 SL per year. Integrate with good turf management and a spray program with other fungicides. DO NOT apply more than 30 mL/100 square metres to creeping bent (Agrostis stolonifera) or Poa annua at intervals shorter than 28 days as phytotoxicity may occur. DO NOT apply to Cotula greens. Apply with properly calibrated equipment in 1000 to 2000 litres water/ha. DO NOT graze animals on treated turf areas, or use grass clippings for feed.
