A seed treatment fungicide for the control of Downy Mildew in Peas, and Pythium damping-off in Lucerne, Brassicas and Peas.

GENERAL INFORMATION
APRON XL is a systemic seed treatment fungicide for the control of the soil-borne disease damping-off (Pythium spp.) and the primary infection of Downy Mildew (both soil and seed-borne).
APRON XL is safe on all varieties of Peas, Lucerne and Brassicas and protects the young plants by the active ingredient penetrating the seed coat and translocating systemically throughout the growing seedling. The control of primary infection of Downy Mildew also reduces secondary infection.
APRON XL does not affect the nitrogen fixing process of the Rhizobium inoculant used on lucerne.
Note: As treatment with APRON XL may affect the flow rate of seed through drills, recalibrate drill before sowing.

MIXING
To prepare the suspension -
Partly fill the mixing tank with water and add the required quantity of APRON XL to the water. Switch on agitation system or stir manually and add the remainder of the water to the required volume.

To apply the suspension -
The seed treater should be calibrated with APRON XL before use as flow characteristics may not be the same as for other seed treatments. Add the suspension at the start of the conveyor to ensure satisfactory seed coverage and maintain agitation to prevent settling out.

EQUIPMENT
APRON XL can be applied in any calibrated continuous flow seed treater or rotating drum. Thoroughly wash all treating equipment after use.

COMPATIBILITY
APRON XL is compatible with other commonly used seed treatment fungicides and insecticides. It is preferable that seed should be sown in the season of treatment.

STORAGE
Store in a cool, dry place, avoiding temperatures below 0°C and above 35°C.
When stored appropriately, this product should show no significant degradation for 3 years from the date of manufacture. Contact your supplier for further information about the use of any product that is older than this. See Safety Data Sheet for additional storage information. Stores containing quantities of 1000 litres or more require signage and secondary containment.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
It is an offence to use this product on animals.
It is an offence for users of this product to cause residues exceeding the relevant MRL in the New Zealand (Maximum Residue Limits of Agricultural Compounds) Food Standards.

BRASSICAS
Disease: Damping-off (Pythium)
Rate: 75 ml in a minimum of 500 ml of water /100 kg seed
Critical Comments: Apply as a seed coat.

LUCERNE
Disease: Damping-off (Pythium)
Rate: 75 ml in a minimum of 1 litre of water /100 kg seed
Critical Comments: Mix the lucerne inoculant in the water first before adding APRON XL to form a suspension. Apply as a seed coat.

PEAS
Disease: Downy Mildew, Damping-off (Pythium)
Rate: 100 ml in a minimum of 500 ml of water /100 kg seed
Critical Comments: Apply as a seed coat to ensure adequate coverage. Note: As APRON XL controls only the seed and soil-borne primary infection phases of Downy Mildew, a delayed airborne secondary infection may occur.
