Fast acting contact herbicide for selective annual broadleaf weed control in barley, oats and wheat.

BEWARE: Apply this product carefully. Spray drift may cause serious damage to other desirable plants. A strategy to minimize spray drift should be employed at all times when applying spray near aquatic environments.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Bromotril Herbicide is a fast acting post emergence contact herbicide with leaf penetrating activity against a range of seedling annual broadleaf weeds in barley, oats and wheat. Mixtures with other cereal herbicides such as Compitone Plus, Agritone, chlorsulfuron and fluroxypyr will broaden the weed spectrum and improve control of less susceptible species. Bromotril Herbicide is most effective when applied under conditions of warm temperatures, low light and high humidity.

Crop: Wheat, Barley and Oats
Apply to small actively growing weeds from the 2- leaf (Zadoks GS 12) stage of the crop up to the ‘boot’ stage (Zadoks GS 45). Do not apply to crops undersown with lucerne or clover

Weeds Controlled
The following weeds will be controlled when sprayed in the seedling stage. Weeds exceeding the maximum growth stages stated in the table will generally be poorly controlled by Bromotril Herbicide. For the control of weeds larger than the recommended growth stages and nonsusceptible species mixtures with other suitable cereal herbicides are advised. Check product labels for application timing, use directions, compatibility and with holding periods. Bromotril Herbicide has little residual activity. Therefore subsequent flushes of weeds will not be controlled by the initial treatment. Generally crops that form a good canopy will help shade out subsequent weed flushes.

WEEDS CONTROLLED
Most Susceptible Species: Annual ragweed, annual sow Thistle, Annual cress (Lepidum spp.), Bathurst burr, Bindweeds, Black nightshade, Matricaria spp., Capeweed, Charlock, Cornflower, Corn gromwell, Fat hen (Including Triazine Resistant Fat Hen), Field penny cress, Galinsoga, Groundsel, Hawksbeard, Kickxia, Migonette, Orache, Red dead nettle, Scarlet pimpernel, Shepherds purse, Sunspurge, Thornapple, Twin cress, Volunteer sunflower, Wild radish, Winter cress, Whitlow grass
Rate/Ha: 700ml-1050ml
Maximum Weed Stage of Growth: Apply to weeds that do not exceed 4 leaves or 5cm in height, whichever comes first. If weed forms a rosette apply before weeds exceed 2.5cm in diameter

Rate/Ha: 1050ml-1400ml
Maximum Weed Stage of Growth: Apply to weeds up to the 8-leaf stage or 10cm in height whichever comes first. If weed forms a rosette apply before weeds exceed 5cm in diameter.

Susceptible Species: Amaranthus spp., Cleavers, Cornbind, Corn chamomile, Fumitory1 , Hedge mustard, Henbit, Pale willow weed, , Mayweeds, Volunteer rape, Wild mustard, Wild turnip, Willow weed, Wireweed
Rate/Ha:
 1050ml-1400ml
Maximum Weed Stage of Growth: Apply to weeds that do not exceed 4 leaves or 5cm in height or 2.5cm in diameter, whichever comes first. Fumitory is best controlled when it has developed 4-8 leaves and is 5-10cm in height

Rate/Ha: 1050ml-1400ml
Maximum Weed Stage of Growth: Apply to weeds that do not exceed 2 leaves. Poor control will result from applications made after this stage.

When tank mixed with other herbicides Bromotril Herbicide may be applied at 500-1400ml/ha. Use the lower rate for most susceptible species up to the 4-leaf stage. Non-susceptible weeds: Field madder, Spurrey, Dove’s foot, Storksbill & perennial broadleaf weeds, Bromotril can suppress newly emerged Californian thistle shoots by burning down top growth. Regrowth will occur.

RESTRAINTS
Do NOT spray in drought conditions or when rain is likely to fall within three hours of spraying.

MIXING
If applying Bromotril Herbicide with another product; fill the spray tank ½ -¾ full with clean water and begin agitation. If tank mixing with WP, flowable or dry flowable products add these first and mix thoroughly. Add the required amount of Bromotril Herbicide to the spray tank and complete filling. Maintain agitation during application.

COMPATIBILITY
May be tank mixed with most commonly used cereal herbicides, insecticides, fungicides and foliar fertilizers in two-way mixes. For mixes of more than two products check compatibility first.

APPLICATION
Apply using a properly calibrated boom sprayer, capable of giving uniform coverage at a spray volume of between 200 and 500L water/ha. Use higher water rates for dense weed infestations and weeds at the larger recommended growth stages. Good even coverage of weed foliage is important because of the contact action of Bromotril Herbicide. Do not apply when crop canopy covers weeds as poor weed control will result. It is recommended that spray pressures of 200kPa should be used and nozzles selected to give fine droplets. Coarse nozzles and low-pressure jets are not recommended.
