For the control of Early and Late Blight in Potatoes and Tomatoes, Botrytis, Canespot and Dryberry in Canefruit, Blackspot, Botrytis, Powdery Mildew and Downy Mildew in Grapes

GENERAL INFORMATION
FOLIO GOLD is a systemic and protectant fungicide. Metalaxyl-M is systemic and is rapidly taken up by green tissue within 30 minutes and distributed within the leaves and stems providing disease control by inhibiting fungal growth within the plant. Chlorothalonil is a protectant, which provides a residual protective film over the plant surface, inhibiting spore germination.

RESISTANCE MANAGEMENT
Resistance to this fungicide and related products could develop from excessive use. To minimise this risk use strictly in accordance with label instructions.

MIXING
FOLIO GOLD mixes readily with water. Invert the container and take particular care to shake thoroughly the contents of the bottle, pour into the partly filled spray tank and add the remainder of the water with agitation ensuring complete mixing before spraying. Continue agitation during spraying and after a stoppage before recommencing spraying.

COMPATIBILITY
FOLIO GOLD is compatible with most of the commonly used insecticides and fungicides except highly alkaline materials such as lime sulphur.

STORAGE
Store in a dry, shaded area, avoiding temperatures below minus 10°C and above 35°C. When stored appropriately this product should show no significant degradation for 2 years from the date of manufacture.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
MANDATORY DIRECTIONS
As FOLIO GOLD contains minute quantities of HCB, a compound that can be taken up by grazing stock to give unacceptable residues in meat and milk, it is a condition of registration that the following restrictions MUST be followed:
DO NOT graze treated crops.
DO NOT feed any part of treated crop to stock.
CULTIVATE treated areas thoroughly (ie not direct drilling or other minimum tillage techniques) before sowing pasture or any animal feed crop.
Important: DO NOT use as an eradicant treatment (ie. once disease symptoms are visible).
Volume of Application: For broadcast spraying, use sufficient water to obtain coverage without run-off, to achieve the maximum systemic and protectant effect from the product. For high volume spraying, the rate suggested is applied to run-off. For concentrate spraying, adjust dilution rate accordingly.
It is an offence to use this product on animals.

CANEFRUIT - BLACKBERRIES, BOYESENBERRIES AND OTHER BRAMBLES
Disease:
Botrytis, Dryberry and Canespot
Rate: 375 mL/100 litres water
Critical Comments: Mature Vines: Apply at 14 day intervals from bud burst to pre-flowering, reducing to 10 day intervals from tight cluster to early fruit formation when dryberry infection can be most serious.
Primocanes: Apply immediately after final harvest and repeat at 14 day intervals while warm, wet conditions favour the disease. Under dry conditions use alternative protectant fungicides according to label recommendations followed by one application of FOLIO GOLD WG before leaf fall. During periods of high risk (wet, humid weather) use a specific Botrytis fungicide.

GRAPES
Disease:
Blackspot, Botrytis, Downy Mildew, Powdery Mildew
Rate: 375 mL/100 litres of water
Critical Comments: Make a maximum of 3 applications at 14 day intervals, when warm and wet conditions favour the disease at the pre-flowering, post-flowering, and early fruit set stages of growth. Subsequent applications of alternative protectant fungicides can be made as and when necessary until harvest. An application of FOLIO GOLD can be made after harvest, but before leaf fall to minimise carryover of disease into the following season. During periods of high risk (wet, humid weather) use a specific Botrytis fungicide. Use on wine grapes, especially white varieties, after the start of capfall, may result in fruit russet. DO NOT use on table grapes.

POTATOES, TOMATOES
Disease:
Early Blight, Late Blight
Rate: 2.5 L in 500 to 750 litres water/ha.
Critical Comments: Make a maximum of 3 applications at 10 to 14 day intervals during the period of active growth. Make the first application when the crop has fully emerged and before disease has occurred. Use the shorter spray interval when weather conditions favour the disease especially during active crop growth in the period prior to flowering. Apply when foliage is dry and no rain or irrigation is expected for at least 2 hours. DO NOT apply in the period following the completion of flowering as the translocation of FOLIO GOLD is considerably reduced if applied when haulms are drying off.
IMPORTANT: Bacterial Speck and Bacterial Spot: As FOLIO GOLD WG does NOT control bacterial diseases in tomatoes, it may be necessary to use a protectant such as cupric hydroxide or copper oxychloride.

WITHHOLDING PERIODS
