For Aphid control in Fruit, Cereal and Vegetable crops.

GENERAL INFORMATION
PIRIMOR 50 is a fast-acting contact insecticide which is partially systemic and has strong fumigant action within the crop. It is effective on most aphid species in a wide range of agricultural and horticultural crops and active on strains of aphids resistant to organophosphate insecticides. Aphids controlled by PIRIMOR 50 at recommended rates include: Black Bean Aphid, Blue Green Lucerne Aphid, Cabbage Aphid, Cereal Aphid, Grain Aphid, Rose-Grain Aphid, Green Peach Aphid, Pea Aphid, Potato Aphid and Rose Aphid.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
It is an offence to use this product on animals.

APPLES
Pest: Woolly Apple Aphid
Rate: 50 g/100 litres of water (or no less than 1 kg/ha). Add a non-ionic low foam wetting agent at label rates for summer applications
Critical Comments: Where a high over-wintering pest population exists, apply at bud-movement plus a suitable spraying oil.
To control Woolly Apple Aphid infesting shoot growth during summer pest build-up, apply as required during the growing season. Timing of application should be in accordance with infestation thresholds such as outlined in the NZ Pipfruit IFP Manual.
Concentrate spraying is NOT recommended.

BEANS, BROAD BEANS, OIL SEED RAPE, PEAS
Pest: Aphids
Rate: 250 g/ha
Critical Comments: Apply in a minimum of 200 litres of water from the ground or 100 litres from the air.

CEREALS, LUCERNE, KALE, SWEDES, TURNIPS
Pest: Aphids
Rate: 200 to 250 g/ha
Critical Comments: Use the lower rate only on short or sparse crops. Apply in a minimum of 200 litres of water from the ground or 100 litres from the air.

CUCURBITS
Pest: Aphids
Rate: 250 g/ha
Critical Comments: Apply as a preventative spray over the flowering period with a second application 10 to 14 days later. A third application may be applied if required later in the season. Apply in 200 to 700 litres of water from the ground or 100 litres from the air.

LETTUCE, TOMATOES, VEGETABLE BRASSICAS
Pest: Aphids
Rate: 250 g/ha
Critical Comments: Apply in 400 to 700 litres of water, depending on stage of crop development.

POTATOES
Pest: Aphids
Rate: 500 g/ha
Critical Comments: Apply in 200 to 400 litres of water at a pressure of not less than 500 kPa.

STONEFRUIT
Pest: Aphids
Rate: 25 g per 100 litres of water
Critical Comments: Apply in a minimum of 2000 litres of water per hectare.

FLOWERING CROPS (BROAD BEANS, CLOVERS, FORAGE BRASSICAS, LUCERNE, PEAS, OIL SEED RAPE)
Pest: Aphids
Rate: 250 g/ha
Critical Comments: Avoid direct contact with bees by applying in the evening when bees are NOT foraging.

MIXING
Pour the measured quantity of PIRIMOR 50 into a partly filled tank and agitate the spray mixture while adding the remaining water. The spray mixture should be continually agitated before and during spraying and after a stoppage.

TIME OF APPLICATION
Apply PIRIMOR 50 when aphids appear and repeat applications as required for crop hygiene and protection. It is recommended that vegetation growing on the crop perimeter be inspected regularly and if necessary treated to reduce the risk of crop reinfestation.

APPLICATION
A non-ionic low foam wetting agent at label rates is recommended for difficult-to-wet crops such as brassicas and potatoes. Rates suggested in horticulture are for high volume spraying to run off. For concentrate spraying, adjust dilution rate accordingly.

SPRAY DRIFT
The person applying this substance must not cause adverse effects beyond the boundary of the treated property, and must also avoid adverse effects from spray drift occurring. Mitigation measures employed must be recorded as part of the application records.

RESTRICTED ENTRY INTERVAL
The person in charge of the application area shall ensure that no person enters the application area within 24 hours unless wearing the recommended Personal Protective Equipment:
- Chemical resistant coveralls
- Long-legged trousers
- Chemical resistant gloves
- Chemical resistant footwear plus socks
- Protective eyewear and chemical resistant headgear for overhead exposures

EQUIPMENT
PIRIMOR 50 is non-corrosive and almost non-abrasive and can be applied through standard ground and aerial spraying equipment. Ensure equipment is calibrated to give even distribution at the correct volume. Flush equipment with clean water after use. Surplus spray solution and washings from equipment should NOT be disposed of on cropping land or in streams.

WITHHOLDING PERIODS
It is an offence for users of this product to cause residues exceeding the relevant MRL in the New Zealand (Maximum Residue Limits of Agricultural Compounds) Food Standards.
